What a fantastic find!! A European hotel that’s more like a 5* Caribbean all inclusive. We loved it and will be back

Very pretty. Very well organised. Would definitely come back. Travelled with husband and ten and eight year old daughters.

Overall I was satisfied with my Stay at the Lopesan Resort. However, there were some things that really disappointed me. 1. I booked Half Board. I wanted to explore the various restaurants on the property. However, during Check In I found out that I was only allowed to eat at the Market with the Half Board Option. Everything else would be Surcharge. I contacted the Reception to find an alternative solution. To cancel the Half Board or use the amount I have paid for a food credit. No solution was found. I spend my Birthday in the Resort and was quite disappointed by the misinformation. That’s also a reason, why I won’t book this resort again. 2. The rooms are quite nicely decorated and spacious. Unfortunately, the walls and doors don’t really keep the noise away. If you want to sleep in, it’s almost impossible. Since you will hear screaming kids or the staff speaking and working in the hallway. 3. Overall beautiful decorated, but this Hotel doesn’t deserve 5 Stars. A Maximum of 4 Stars. I will choose the Riu Hotel for my next stay.

This hotel is very well organised with excellent service and accommodation. I wasn’t sure at first due to the size of the property but the choices of areas and pools are outstanding, no problem finding a nice place to relax. The service around the hotel is excellent with plenty of choices for lunch. The breakfast buffet is also excellent and although some reviews complain about queuing, I never found it an issue. Varied entertainment at night was good. The hotel is in a good area with lots of designer shops and restaurants and good walking promenades.

Amazing stay

Unfortunately we were only in the hotel for13 hourd, but what we saw was stunning. Very much a 5 star hotel. I wish we could have stayed longer, but due to a medical emergency with my daughter, we couldn't.

This is a huge hotel with 1100 rooms and tbh a bit lacking in soul and atmosphere. This is reflected in most of the staff. They are fairly polite but not particularly friendly. They don’t engage with visitors, a bit unusual in Gran Canaria. The accommodation is very good. However there are no entertainment channels for English language speakers. Conversely you are well served if you are Spanish, German or Italian. I accidentally booked half board. The buffet area for such customers is vast. There is no explanation of how it works when you are seated at your table. The food is average but there is a good wine selection. Self service is very busy. Breakfast was better. There are some good restaurants on site. Bar prices are good value for this sort of hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s just too big and the service is rather surly on the whole. The friendly people stand out. I should say I have had better experiences at other Lopesan hotels.

This is not a 5star hotel however it was clean and the grounds were very nice. Food was not to a good standard and our half board was only eligible for the buffet restaurant and not usable on the other restaurants on the site. Expedia and the hotel should make this clear at the booking listing as we would not have opted for HB and instead gone for B&B only. Buffet was overcrowded and food quality was ok - nothing special but expected when it was feeding a large number of people. Fruit was the high light. The other issue is that at night they had music on till 11ish and if you come here to relax you will hear the music in your room. They are not well insulated. Other than the food and noise the actual hotel has excellent grounds with lovely rooms palm tree lined pools with plenty of sun beds and space to not feel overcrowded. The lobby is nice and its location on the promanade is excellent. Go here if you can book just B&B and bring good ear plugs.

Whilst the room itself was just ordinary, the gardens/the pools were fabulous and well maintained.

It started with very bad treatment and mistakes on our booking, nonchalant staffviod the check-in and without a knowledgeable manager on site when we checked in on a Sunday. The treatment did not match a 5 star hotel and neither did the service. The rooms were not clean and the beds were not comfortable. We stayed in a suite with a view for a price of about 1500 Euro/night, so there was not even a fruit basket on arrival and no personal welcome or anything special for the children. The only thing in the hotel that was worth a vacation was the pool area. Not a place I recommend and not worth the price.
