Comfort Suites Springfield I-70

The location was good for our purposes.

1. The room we were assigned was TERRIBLY musty. Even spraying Lysol did not help. Why didn’t I request a room change!?? This was the second room we were assigned. The smoke detector in the room was chirping indicating the battery was draining. The phone did not work, but the front desk staff who was trying to fix the smoke detector said he would slide a card under our door with a number we could use if we needed help. Did not happen! 2. The breakfast did not look appetizing with the powdered eggs, muffins in wrappers 3. It appeared the front desk staff were unfamiliar with the software on their computers. The staff did not speak English very clearly for me ( I don’t speak any foreign languages) . 4. Upon leaving I was accused of smoking in my room. The claim was made that someone on staff knocked on my door. Did not happen & I NEVER smoke.

There are a few restaurants immediately by the hotel.

Immediately around the hotel is ok but my GPS kept having me drive through some questionable areas around it.

Phone chargers didn’t work and it could’ve been a little less expensive.

Morning staff was great! Ladies in the breakfast area were very helpful!

Great for short stay.
