We have mixed emotions about our stay. We have never stayed at a Drury Inn and parts of it were really good. I think my husband reserved either the largest or one of the largest rooms in the hotel. When he booked it online, it took his CC#, but didnโt reserve the room. We didnโt realize that until we called them to add an extra night and they told us they had our CC#, but not our reservation. Both the hotel and we were perplexed over this. When we arrived, they had given us the original room we booked and my husband was very pleased. We loved the spaciousness of the room, the view, and the windows were clean. I liked the area where we could fix our coffee/tea and the closet space was nice, but I didnโt like the bathroom because it was so small. I really donโt like the standard size bathtubs and the cloth shower curtains, but outside of that, we thought the room was very nice. We had traveled several hours and didnโt want to eat late, so we went out to eat first and then came back and unpacked our room. The next morning, I noticed something on the toilet tank and it was not a happy site. I then stepped out and saw one of the cleaning staff and asked her if she could come to my room so I could ask her to make sure she cleaned this area. She saw it, was very polite, and agreed to do so. She thoroughly cleaned our room and did an excellent job. We were in and out of the hotel room during our four day stay because we were going to a conference. I did call down to the front desk the next day because I was gone for four hours, and when I came back, the room still wasnโt clean, and I said no problem and they came later and once again thoroughly cleaned it. However, the day before we left, we came back in that afternoon and noticed it wasnโt like it was the other days. The bed wasnโt made, the comforter that was on the floor, which accidentally got knocked off, and I left there for them to take, plus the tidiness from the other two days was not there. I was perplexed and went downstairs and there was a very nice lady working the front desk. She had short dark hair with tattoos and was very polite with good customer service. She explained that she was going to check into it because there were three others that had happened to, and I was personally just perplexed. That same night, when we were coming back to the hotel, we turned into the hotel garage area and ran over something cumbersome. It was about 9:30 PM and our tire started immediately losing air in and my husband had to change it I donโt think thatโs the hotelโs fault, I think probably a pedestrian dropped it there and they didnโt know, but we had to take care of it immediately. I went down to get some extra towels and went to talk to the person at the desk, not the same person that we talked to with short, dark hair, but someone else, and I was quite taken back by the way they addressed me. I felt like they were very sharp with me and very much let me know that the room not being all the way cleaned was our fault. Apparently, at Drury Inn, you have to do something special to get what we thought was regular house cleaning and customer service. We clearly spent over $1000 at our four day stay here and had we wanted to clean it ourselves, we could have stayed at a VRBO. My husband did not elect to take the 250 points that I think they offer you if you want to omit cleaning, we wanted and thought we were getting full service. I was very much told that we did not do the right thing and that the other cleaning people were being nice and that we only elected to have trash and towel service. We were not there for one night, we were there for four nights! I think had I not been addressed in the way I was, I wouldnโt even put this in the review, but I was and I donโt feel thatโs acceptable. I think had someone said Iโm sorry for any misunderstanding, etc., I couldโve absorbed it more. Please know, my husband selected to get one of the biggest or biggest room in the hotel because we wanted this to be a very good stay for us. Parts of it were very nice, but unfortunately, that one interaction soured our experience. Once again, we were not regular Drury Inn customers and had never been to one. Additionally, we would not have selected a room that was close to $300 a night if we didnโt want full service during the four day stay. Outside of that, we thought the foyer area of the hotel was very neat, liked that they had a fitness center, loved the high ceilings, the walking area in our room and the view from the windows.
