Argo Hotel

Good for staying after late arrival from ferry. 5-10 minute walk from port. Nice big room, but only one outlet. Some staff were unpleasant, while other's could not have been more helpful.

The Manager/Owner went out of his way with excursions, transport to and from venues, etc. Very well organised person. Will use them again.

Only minor drawback was the experience is more laid back than a large corporate hotel and is thus not as crisp in terms of service. It is really just a difference more than a drawback, as staff are friendly and want to please. Generally, a very good experience.

The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly. But is quite a walk from the metro station, and also a distance to the port.

Clean tidy room. Bed was not so comfortable though. Not much of a view from balcony. Staff are extremely courteous. Helped with everything.

The room smells. Other than that, it is mediocre.

This hotel is a bit difficult to find since street signs are rare. The hotel was clean enough but Piraeus is not a nice place at all. If you need an inexpensive room close to the port for an early morning ferry then this is a good place.

Although the room suited a basic overnight stay & was close to the Piraeus port, I would unlikely stay more than one night again. The bathroom was extremely small, to the point you can sit on both the toilet & in shower at the same time. The shower head was broken, resulting in a battle with the shower curtains, & the room smelt strongly of previous guests cigarette smoke (despite it being a non smoking floor). The elevator service was frightening, consisting of a tiny tin box with enough room for one person with one suitcase. To their credit, the staff were amazing & spoke excellent english, location was great, the room was clean with all necessities, & was very reasonably priced.
