Argo Hotel

This hotel is designed for people who need an overnight base to catch the ferry the following day. Rooms are small but clean bathrooms are very small beds are hard. It is worth booking a breakfast 8 euro per person, if you require a transfer to the port in the morning but book in advance this service rooms from 6 to 8 am. The low price reflects where the hotel is positioned in the market.

I stayed there for two days. Its close to the ferry pier just few mins walk. The location is good if you want a hotel near the pier.

Nice hotel for a 1 day stay. This hotel is nice it jus has its little hiccups. The day leaving in the morning the elevator so i had to lug 4 suitcases down a flight of marble stairs while people stared. Also it should have a little shuttle to pick you up by the port since its not near any bus or train. You would have to walk thru the cobble stone ground. At times all you could do was laugh.

Very small hotel, room and bathroom. Elevator very small, and can fit only 2 small persons, with luggage. Only good for a 1-night stay, if catching cruise ship or taking ferries to to Greek islands. This hotel should not be your first choice.

I checked in very late at night, the hotel manager on duty was kind and helpful. He helped me to book the next morning ferry. I didn't purchase their shuttle service to the port, however, the same manager was nice enough to give me a free shuttle ride to the port, that was a big help! Greatly appreciated!

This is a nice hotel before and after a ferry trip.

I've seen quite a few horror stories from this place but having stayed here just on an overnight stop from the ferry to the airport the next morning, I can say it served our purposes just fine. The port area isn't very nice to wander around at night, so we were very grateful for the 24-hour reception where we were greeted in a friendly manner. The room itself was perfectly clean but not the most amazing quality. The bed was comfortable but for some reason came with one soft pillow and one that felt like a brick; we put the latter on the floor. The shower curtain didn't really do its job properly (there was water everywhere) and still managed to stick to you. The shower head itself wouldn't stay in place so you had to hold it. The view was effectively non-existent, just looking straight out into an alleyway. However the air conditioning and wifi worked well and frankly we slept fine, which was all we were looking for, and it was only about a 5-10 minute walk from the port/metro station. Overall, not bad for the price but not somewhere I would stay for multiple nights.

The hotel is very hard to be found. We spent almost thirty minutes looking around and even we asked the locals, they just don't know where it is. The reception is quite friendly and helpful. The room is very small. I would only recommend this hotel to travelers who need to catch an early ferry or arrive very late at the port. The hotel is 10 minutes from the port (only if you find your way).
