Americas Best Value Inn Holly Springs

We travel a lot and are not snobby by any stretch of the imagination but this place was one of the worse we have ever stayed in. In our room the ceiling was peeling the faucet in the tub was shakey to the point I wondered if it was going to come out of the wall. The room had a musty smell. I do not see how you would be able to find a lower class motel in Holly Springs than this place. Stay away.

My reservation was not correct, and I was charged extra for my children even though I made it clear that I would have them with me at the time of booking the room. There were not enough towels in the room. The carpet was damp. There was an odor in the room that could not be masked by the air freshener I went and purchased. The beds were uncomfortable, and the 'free' breakfast was a disgrace. I would have been more comfortable sleeping outside. My children were just as disappointed, and eager to get out of this flea bag motel. It seems the owners do minimal because there are not many choices for hotels in town. It's worth it to drive a little further to get better accommodations.

We had to stay in Holly Springs for a week and the Days Inn was reasonably priced so we booked it. I was pleasantly surprised. The exterior was well maintained and there was no trash on the grounds. The woman who checked us in was pleasant and we were able to have both our service dogs in our room without extra charge (we had all the paperwork and showed it to her and she copied it). Our room was on the second floor and smelled a little stale when we entered but it was not objectionable. The room just needed to be aired out which we did as we moved our gear in. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the pillows just right. It was nice to have a fridge in the room to keep our drinks cold. The bathroom was very clean though the bath was in need of an upgrade as the fixtures were pretty loosy-goosy but worked well. No mold or slime on the tiles but the patches were far from professional. The shower curtain was pristine. Don't count on the wi-fi. Slow and didn't work much of the time. The TV service was not the best as it occasionally pixilated but that may be a function of the area and not the motel. This motel is not OCD regarding maintenance as we arrived during a rainstorm and the roof was leaking over the bathroom sink and it looked like it had for a while. I guess the bottom line is whether I would stay there again. Actually, I would as I didn't see anything better in the area for the price.

No water in pool. Poor customer service. Lack a breakfast that was advertised. Below standards

Only complaint is the WiFi. Pretty much useless.

We were on out way home from our honeymoon in which we discussed buying a Timeshare from Wyndham. We stopped here to use some points and kill the rest of the drive home next day. However we asked to see a room and were shown two. One was in Bad shape the other in acceptable status. We asked for the room that looked half decent but after getting to the office we were told we can only have the rough room. Ok fine we need to rest. The roof has been spackled to death along with the walls who hold it up. The knob for the shower and the spout are both loose and wiggling around the whole time you are in there. Got up the next morning to make coffee to get the day started and pulled out the pot to put water in it (unless it was an extremely long curly head hair of facial hair) there was a pubic hair look alike in the pot. I let the cleaner know about it because there was noone but her in the office for my checkout. Nothing good to say really.

I HAVE ENJOYED MY STAY AT THIS HOTEL ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS.

It is old and you can tell by the loose door knobs, caulking, tub etc...but the sheets were clean and the shower had good pressure and hot water. We are non-smokers and it was suppose to be a non-smoking room and could smell the smoke (I believe from the bathroom vent fan and maybe some smokers in there before us) There was an ashtray in the room which I told the desk clerk at checkout. It was pretty quiet. About what I expected for the price.

Yeah, it's a dump and the so called non-smoking room reeked of smoke.

The owner and staff personnel were great; and they made sure my stay was excellent. Their concern for my comfort, plus the hotel's cleanliness and updated furnishings, convinced me to turn a planned one night stay into staying several weeks.
