Hilton Garden Inn New York/Staten Island

The staff to the cleanliness of the room was great. Everyone was very polite and welcoming which is appreciated after a long flight.

I stayed this past week for 3 nights and will be staying often throughout Jan, Feb and March. I travel often and stay in hotels almost every week thru the year. I am familiar with Hilton Garden Inns, it is typically my "go to" because they have an onsite restaurant/bar. Everyone at this location was friendly and attentive. I ate at the restaurant, and the staff were quick and friendly and the restaurant atmosphere felt elegant and inviting. I had dinner 3 nights and every meal was delicious. The hotel lobby and common areas were clean and still had Christmas decorations, which I thought was really great! Overall, the room, gym, restaurant, and lobby were clean, inviting and made me feel comfortable during my stay.

My coffee pot did not work as usual. I addressed the issue twice. We will send someone to look at it. Is it ok if they go now. Yes... But nobody ever came. A fancy name means nothing if you can't back it up with truth. The truth is the items are so overpriced $14 for two items at the side counter. Rooms are disappointing. Mind you the size is huge but quality is bad. Dog urine stains on carpet. But hey that's Staten Island

Friendly check in and accommodated my request for more towels and late check out.

The room was tired looking, peeling doors, there was no fan in the bathroom and it didn't ventilate steam. The bathroom door didn't stay open, and need to pay for breakfast. Coffee isn't available in the lobby all day. Ends at 11 am. I asked for housekeeping, but it never came. Only had 3 bath towels for 4 of us There was a lot of noise and banging coming from the hallway.
