Nothing. The property did not meet acceptable health or safety standards.

Upon check-in, I immediately noticed a strong mold and mildew odor in the room and visible mold on the chair. My child began having difficulty breathing, and we had to vacate the room shortly after arrival. I informed the property manager, who claimed they receive regular health inspections and said she would look into the issue, but she never followed up and refused to provide a full refund.

We went for UMass parents weekend and it was just under a 20 minute ride. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even had free fresh cookies available when we checked in at the front desk. The room was clean and had everything we needed.

Nothing. It met our expectations!

The irony is I would have given these guys 5 stars! Perfectly fine overnight stay while visiting friends up in Amherst. Ridiculously expensive for a Red Roof, like north of $350 all-in for the single night, the night I was there. Guess there was some event going on at one of the colleges and all of the other hotels were fully booked for more than that or had a minimum two-night stay. Plus, my former go-to, the Howard Johnson in Hadley, has had a name change and is now an extended stay hotel. Room was sparse but adequate. As others have noted, it's a bare-bones property. But it totally worked. Clean, safe and ample parking. Right next to Yankee Village if that's your final destination.

People hanging around by the front door and smoking when I checked in , some trash an cigarette butts in the hallway, men’s bathroom had a hell of a mess in the stall, maybe short staffed, but my room was clean.
