Extended Stay America Suites - San Jose - Milpitas - McCarthy Ranch

I will be surprised if anyone has answered this question positively.

Its the most ridiculous property I have ever stayed. I mean, there are no glasses in the room. There is a notice which says call the Front Desk to get it delivered. I called the front desk, they asked me to come to the reception and take it from there. Excuse me, that's most unprofessional. What am I paying for ? just the Bed ? I also paid extra for early checkin. There are just two soap bars in the toilet, and just NOTHING ELSE. I reiterate, never I have seen anything like this, how come no glasses in the Room, that's most ridiculous aspect. Anyways, very surprising standard of a hotel in United States of America. Or may be that's how it is supposed to be. Its not like its coming cheap, paid 25k YEN, like 160 USD + 25 USD for early checking. Wasted money, disappointing.

Love how it was separated and free parking. Everything nearby was in walking distance.

The bed we stayed in had a stain, but it was okay.

Breakfast should be improved and cleaning is the big issue

they only do cleaning every two weeks, almost looks like a home less shelter served by just one person in the reception, take away breakfast is a joke

I arrived really late close to 12am. The room had a bad odor when I first arrived. It smelled warm and slight cigarette smell. I eventually increased the ac to diffused the smell. Around 4am I smelled a soul odor and I couldn’t figured out where it came from. I told the front desk about this problem. All she said was you should’ve told last night. She didn’t even check out the room to see or smell the problem. She didn’t offer any compensation for the inconvenience. Also there was a pink/reddish lipstick on the sheet under the pillow. I didn’t see this until I woke up. I think thee staff should’ve followed up and see what I had a problem with instead of saying you should’ve changed the room. The staff had lack of empathy for the inconvenience. Also we when I went there, to ask the front for a toothbrush and toothpaste the staff ignored me. She was on her (Rachel) personal phone talking to another staff how to lower a rate for a guest. She didn’t acknowledge me or state I’ll be with you shortly. I

The property is in poor condition. The room was dirty upon arrival, huge gap under the door which opens directly outside. Lots of people loitering and smoking right outside the doors. My blanket, which is laughable thin and uncomfortable had a burn hole in it. This should not even be a 3 star hotel and I wouldn’t stay here again, even though the staff were friendly and helpful.

First time staying here, room was dirty and had a faint smoke smell.

I liked that it was big, close to gas and stores. There was even a dog area to relief the pets and ground was very clean.

The breakfast was not the best, disappointing to find just coffee. No attendant present, the bed room pillows were only three and pretty flat.
