Staybridge Suites Cedar Rapids North by IHG

Wish there was ice machines on each floor otherwise a great hotel and breakfast!

The Staybridge was convenient to most of the places we wanted to go. The rooms were nice, but the closet doors needed some lubricant-quite noisy.

I have stayed at many IHG properties but this one was memorable for all the wrong reasons. I was greeted at the front desk by a very friendly person who acknowledged me but had no clue I requested a top floor room in my reservation. She offered they were short staffed, not sure why she did. When I got to my room, it appeared nice, but that is where it ended. There was mold in the bathtub, no water pressure in the shower or bathroom sink. My wife went to take a glass out of the cabinet only to remove a glass that had a large part of the glass missing exposing sharp edges. The other glass that was in the cabinet was dirty. The closet doors were ill fitted and did not close together. Upon checkout, the desk clerk barely acknowledged that I was standing in front of him and did not even ask how my stay was, which has always been a constant for IHG properties to ask.

Good quick stay, nice roomy room. First room had issue with air conditioner I could tell as I walked in. Kindly moved me to a different room without difficulty.

Convenient location on and off the freeway

We stayed for 8 nights and our only continuous problem was our keys kept deactivating. We did have an issue with our toilet, but they moved our rooms without issue. Great breakfast selection, hot, fresh and the area was clean- even with dozens of teenage boys in the hotel! The gentleman working breakfast was friendly and helpful! Front desk staff were helpful and able to address any needs we had, but the young lady who was there in the early evenings, was fantastic and always engaged with us and our boys.

Facility is dated and dirty. The exterior of the building looks nice.

I liked the breakfast, I couldn't thank the cooks enough, they are very good! the room was clean, the mattress was very comfortable. the shower has a power. Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in

The only thing I didn't like was that they tried to enter our room, I think it was someone from cleaning, but they closed the door quickly! and a man knocked on the door to show a message from the hotel, about checking something inside our room ! I think if you have a client in the room should respect their privacy as much as possible.
