Crowne Plaza Columbus North - Worthington by IHG

This hotel was disappointing for this brand. Front desk manager was so unfriendly and rotten to his staff. Carpet in hallways was disgusting. Our room’s bathroom sink was clogged from the start.

It was a place to sleep.

Grounds and halls were dirty and stank. Broken glass was on entrance sidewalk and was not cleaned although we stayed 5 days. Trashcan overflowing outside. Breakfast was not worth the price subpar cold food and sticky floors. We were initially given a room and key to find it was already occupied. When we were upgraded to a suite we got there to find the ceiling caving in from a water leak. The door connected to the other room was scotch taped on the cracks and the entire room reeked of Marijuana.

We attended a weekend wedding in Columbus, OH, and the wedding party chose this hotel. If given a choice, I would NOT stay at this hotel again. PROS * Fitness room is nice and well equipped * Staff is courteous and friendly * Bed and pillows are relatively comfortable CONS * Hotel is severely outdated and not maintained * Wallpaper is peeling and torn in many places * Patched cracks in ceilings in many places * 1 of 3 elevators worked during the weekend, and the 2 non-operational elevators didn't even have signs posted saying OUT OF SERVICE. We resorted to using stairs during our stay. * Room furniture has deep scuffs and scratches * Door hinges can be squeaky * We did see one ant in our bathroom during our 2-night stay * Slow shower drain * Toilet flapper did not seat back properly, causing lots of water wastage if you weren't careful to reset it manually by hand * Check-in staff made our and other guests keycards expire 24 hrs after check-in despite most of us staying > 1 night. Affected guests had to line-up to get new keycards. I'm baffled how this hotel has maintained its 3-star rating.

Absolutely nothing

It was not clean, the elevator didn’t work, the WiFi didn’t work, the hallways smelled terrible, there was only one roll od toilet paper for 4 people, the pool was not see through and green and inoperable, the Kleenex box had 3 sheets of Kleenex, the ac unit in room was on lowest setting of 60 and our room was so hot!
