Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Macon North

When reviewing motels it’s important to keep in mind that this is not a five star resort on the beach. It’s a place to rest relax and sleep. So the reviews I write for motels are in this mindset The Econo Lodge was clean, and the beds were comfortable. There were two towels apiece for my wife and I but I wish we had had another set. I didn’t bother requesting another set since it was just one night. We had two queen beds so my wife and I each got one and my wife always gets the one nearest the air conditioner. However, the beds are on metal platforms and the one under hers squeaked some when she moved. The stay was good, nothing exceptional but good. Since we travel with pets we selected this motel and the pet fee was low. Again, not a hotel or resort. I could rate this at either a four or a three but with no significant problems I went with a four.

Nice hotel stop for overnight. Clean room. Only complaint was I prefer to eat in my room and not in the eating lobby. Germ thing. They had a lady that watch the area intensely and told everyone, no taking food from lobby. A little intense for free breakfast.

If we weren't so tired we would have left. Frontdesk lady was very nice so we had hopes the room would be decent. Where to start killed 2 cockroaches in the first 5 minutes, linens were old and discolored, something molded on end table, 1 bath towel for 2 people. Luckily we had brought a spray can of disinfectant and sprayed the place down. Slept in our clothes with lights on, on top of the sheets. Just needed a few hours of sleep before heading down the highway. A big yuck to this entire experience

Hotel was trashed. Non smoking rooms smelt like they’re smoked in daily. Management is Awful to deal with. The only good part was how nice the lady was at the front desk. Everything else is terrible. Avoid at all costs. I didn’t even make it 2 hours there before I checked out and was refused a refund.

First off, if you want your room to be cool when you arrive, go to another hotel. They do not keep the AC on. Arrived it was 84.5 degrees, in my room. One hour later the same. I switched rooms. Arrived it was 84.5 degrees, in my second room. An hour later it was 83 degrees. In the morning when I left it was 74.5 degrees, yet the thermostat was on 60 and keep going off/on through my stay. Sheets and blanket had blood stains. Sheets had holes in them. Housekeeping came with new sheet that also had holes. Third set of sheets were put on. Blanket had blood stains. I told her just leave I won't use it. It's too hot in here. Stained and ripped bath towels and cloths. If they keep the AC on, I would have been happy and not posted this. Will not stay at this hotel again unless they keep the AC on and fix the thermostat. Newer floor which was nice. Housekeeping was nice. Clerk was nice and apologetic but means nothing if you don't change the bad.

I was traveling from Florida to another hotel that was closed when arriving, we didn't know what to do. We stopped at Econo Lodge. They were very friendly and accommodating. They gave us a room right away. The room was extremely clean and beds were very comfortable. We were so pleased with them, we booked them for our return home. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall best place to stay in Macon for good Price and awesome service. Friendly staffs and cooperative Service. Rooms with good interior, comfortable stay, and clean. Great WiFi service. In short nice place to in town for business purposes.

They “remodeled” the rooms. Which means they put in different flooring is & I don’t think they have ever washed the flooring. The floor was filthy & sticky. Our non-smoking room smelt like cigarettes & weed. The room was gross, but cheap & it’s right off the highway & by restaurants. We just staid to sleep on our way to Florida. We won’t be staying here again.

Wish I had never stayed. FILTHY room. Mirror covered with something, phone was so dirty we used a towel to pick it up and move it. Water pressure was very low. Tub backed up as standing in shower. Floor was so filthy my feet had to be rewashed after walking only a few steps. Do yourself a favor and slerp on your car!

The very friendly and helpful desk clerk was the best thing about this hotel. The ice machine is located around on the back side of the hotel and you have to walk around the end of the hotel to get back to it. It was not well lit back there and it didn't exactly feel safe at night. The room stunk terribly. Thankfully I had a good-smelling candle to burn to try to camouflage it. The bed was very comfortable, which was the only other good thing about this hotel. So, if all you're needing is an economical place to get some sleep for a few hours, this hotel will do. They only gave us 1 package of coffee for the single cup coffee maker. The toilet was SHORT--like one that would be in a pre-school bathroom. The "breakfast room" was a tiny space that had only 3 little tables in it--seating for maybe 8 people total. The eggs were watered down, and so was the gravy--like you could SEE the water that had been added. There was nothing hospitable about this place, except for the night clerk.:-(
