great place directly at the beach. the staff is very friendly and helpful. great service and spacious rooms. the breakfast was very good and the atmosphere is very welcoming. we enjoyed our stay and can recommend casa del mar totally.

Well this was an amazing find, what a truly delightful beachside, boutique hotel of only 34 rooms. The staff are incredibly attentive and the service is second to none. It's no wonder there are so many repeat guests. We will definitely return

The Casa del Mar in Langkawi, is a small, warm and friendly oasis on Cenang Beach. Whilst it may lack the size of its famous neighbour 100m further north, it makes up for this in sheer, unadulterated tranquillity and the friendliness of its staff. This is the place you go to, to unwind and relax. And many do, year after year. The Casa del Mar rewards multiple-returning guests with their own named pottery fish which they affix near to the outside bar. Judging by the sheer number of these, once you’re smitten with the charms of the hotel and its numerous welcoming staff you too will be returning to have your own fish mounted! With only 33 rooms and an abundance of staff, you soon feel right at home. We treated ourselves to the Seaview Deluxe Suite and were blessed with an outdoor, covered sala which was ideal if the rain started. The room’s dark wood classical interior was spotlessly clean. There were plenty of beds and parasols around the pool and alongside the beach, and it never felt cramped which smaller hotels can sometimes. Breakfast was excellent with a good mixture of help-yourself buffet as well as freshly prepared items. We ate at their La Sal restaurant each lunchtime and several evenings and always found the food to be of high quality but if we could make one improvement, it would be to the menu. Whilst the chef will accommodate your dietary requirements, we found the vegetarian choice was quite poor so had to continuously ask for the meat or fish dishes without the meat or fish, which is far from ideal. This was highlighted in the 3-course dinner as part of the Getaway Package where the included main course was approximately 150 ringgit for the meat dish but a 50 ringgit Margherita pizza for the vegetarian option. The little touches at turn down were appreciated as were the fruit and frozen lollies by the pool. Overall, Casa del Mar and its attentive staff come highly recommended.

This is probably the nicest place to stay in Patai Cenang, an oasis at the end of a lively and crowded beach. Large comfortable rooms, spacious balconies, friendly team, excellent hotel restaurant. Top.
