Avani Victoria Falls Resort

Avani Victoria Falls Resort is simply an amazing place, everything done to the finest detail. I will definitely visit this destination again and I highly recommend the resort.

Beautiful resort grounds, amazing buffet and awesome to see the animals walking around freely. My only piece of feedback is that if you’re going to tell your guest that they can use the app, Ensure that it is working properly and that the messages and request are getting answered. We did have an issue with the AC in our hotel room and had sent a message, but nothing got resolved until we had to go to the reception. They did move Us rooms immediately, which was great. We had dinner at the Pizza Terrace and Brenda our waiter was amazing and sweet While Albert, the chef campaign introduce themselves and make sure we were happy with our choices. We loved every single dish and would have eaten there every night if we could. Kudos to the staff for being so friendly.

Avani always comes first to me. The first resort I checked into, on my first visit to livingstone. Every trip to Avani is something to look foward to.

I was sorry to leave this hotel because everything about it was wonderful. I loved wandering the grounds and photographing the wildlife who were not tame but tolerated us tourists. Giraffe, zebra, monkeys and impala were grazing right up to the rooms and pool. My room overlooked the wildlife pond and I could watch monkeys and impala and birds diving into the pond to catch fish and drink. It was my very own safari. All the staff were very welcoming and greeted me whenever I passed by and they were always so cheerful. The food was amazing and there was plenty of choice - I had been worried that everything would be very spicey but that was not the case. Our group went to the boma which included African music and dance. The first hour was good but after the second hour I had had enough and left. This was not a problem, just my thoughts on the evening. The room was perfect - everything I needed, except bubble bath! Victoria Falls were within walking distance but note that at the end of the dry season the falls are not at full flow. This does allow you to see the gorge and I was told when at full flow you get drenched! I would love to go back to Avani Victoria Falls Resort and highly recommend it.

Excellent and close to nature. If you want your family to enjoy an a trip with an African touch, this is the place to go to. Animals would come to greet you right by your window and just about 5 minutes walk from Victoria falls.

Recent refurbishment at the Avani Resort bedrooms make this an excellent accommodation within a short walk of Victoria Falls. Outstanding staff service with a smile throughout our stay from everybody we came into contact with.

Chef Tuwan is so accommodating even though our request for halaal food was last minute. He took extremely good care of the guests.

Restaurant reception staff needs to be more welcoming. Having wild animals in the property was a plus.

this resort came highly recommended to me by several people and i was not let down. From the minute i arrived, i was taken care of, showed around and given everything i needed. This resort os special because it is within the park and have wild animals roaming. These animals include Zebra, Giraffe, Baboons and impalas. Walking around the resort you can find any one of these animals eating. They are wild, so no touching, but they are beautiful to look at. The Zambia side of Victoria Falls is right outside the back gate to the resort. As a guest of Avani, you can enter the Zambia side of the falls for free as often as you like. I found the best place to get souvenirs is from the concession stand inside the Zambia Falls park. Josephat is kind and doesn't hound you. I purchases all of my souvenirs and drinks from him. The resort staff are amazing. Caroline is one of the concierge specialists who helped me cancel my Zimbabwe helicopter ride and she was able to book mw with United just down the street from the resort. After going to Zimbabwe the second day, i knew it was going to be a hassle getting a ride to the Zimbabwe border and then getting picked up taken to the helipad. And then the same in reverse. She was amazing and helped reduce my stress. The helicopter ride at United was amazing. Other staff members like Misozi was kind and helped me with extending my stay for a few hours so i could take the helicopter ride at United. She was a very nice person and to be honest all of the staff were super kind. Lydia who is a server for the restaurant gave me great food recommendations and again was super kind and pleasant. It is my recommendation that you see both sides of the falls, but you can do it yourself without a tour guide if you just want to see the falls and take pictures. If you want the history, i recommend Kennedy through HMS. The outside restaurant at the Royal Livingstone sits on the river and is a great place to have dinner. The breakfast is really good and the security staff are good at keeping the Baboons away from the area. Sometimes they sneak in and one oft did snatch a piece of bread before i even knew what happened.
