Royal Livingstone Hotel by Anantara

We stayed 3 nights and all the staff were helpful especially the operations manager Ankur. The highlight is watching the sunset overlooking the Zambezi river and the animals roaming around the grounds. Great location, walking distance to the falls. We booked all our tours through the hotel and would recommend the helicopter experience over the Victoria falls.

Amazing paradise what more can I say. There is nothing to fault with this place. Right on the edge of Victoria falls and in the national Park so they have Giraffes, zebra, impala and monkeys all around. Rooms amazing and bed so comfy. Shower was powerful. And food in all places was fantastic. Staff were always helpful and very friendly nothing was too much trouble. Even got a golf buggy to the entrance of the falls to see its pure wonder. If you stay here you will not be disappointed one of my favourite places I have stayed.

This hotel is incredible. Service is excellent! We had a very positive experience with Ankur. He made our stay very special. I never leave reviews but I’m beyond grateful! Will be back :)

From arrival to check out everything is just perfect. The welcome was warm and friendly and check in was informative. Gardens are extremely well kept considering the wildlife wandering around. Rooms large and well equipped. Food great. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. Would love to return.

We did not like our stay and if there are no animals and Victoria, I would rate it as 1*. Edward from reception is an arrogant and unpolite. He even allowed himself a fat joke "compliment" regarding my dress. It was embarrassing. I never faced such behavior in any hotel, no matter how many stars it has. Nobody did anything to greet and meet us warmly. No water, no towels. We arrived from Zimbabwe exactly on my birthday and my husband mentioned it in his emails to the hotel. Nothing happened - no wishes, no cake. Even the name on TV screen in our room was "guest guest". Table we booked at Kudu for BD dinner was exactly at kitchen back door with a strong trash smell from there. We ran away to the main restraunt. Food is very overpriced and veeeery far from value from money. Menu organised in a very strange manner: a la carte on a paper + sometimes they give you pizza and indian menu on a tab. Staff is slow, unhelpful and do not care. Seems that we better not come and bother them. No staff around the pool: you will chill there for hours and nobody bring you a glass of water. Animal drops are everywhere. You better walk and watch. We could not catch the butler idea, as all our butlers did nothing. The only task I had for them - to find a hairbrush (forgot mine at home). 6 days after I still had no brush). We were soooo tired of the hotel that ran out to Botswana for 2 nights. Before leave I told to arrogant Edward that we have no shower gel in a room. After 2 days we are back to our room - still no shower gel. Bar is average. As a bar owner in past, I can understand if people can make coctails or not. Here - they can not. The only nice thing is location and interior. We had a long talk with hotel management and I hope that things will change. Oh, yes! Blessing at f&b was smiley and nice, and a young trainee in the bar.

Beautiful property, with zebras, impalas, and giraffes. Our spa massages were wonderful and the staff extremely attentive. Highly recommend.
