"Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff"

I love this hotel! It’s so cute and quaint, the pillows were so soft and all the staff was absolutely incredible. Taylor at the front desk & Eli at the bar made our staycation so wonderful. It’s an easy walk to the bay, we love Saint Pete. We even saw dolphins!

"Best of the Bay"

Our weekend stay was not only a great value in the lovely St Pete, but we adored the excellent front desk service by Taylor. So professional and engaging and just a great welcome for our weekend staycation. The espresso martini deserves all the accolades. Eli is an artisan!

"A Gem in Downtown St. Pete!"

This adorable and well-appointed inn had everything we needed for a mom-daughter weekend. Our deluxe king suite was clean and tidy and I especially liked the cute basket with clean towels left on the bed. Nice touch! When I arrived, Slav was at the front desk and he kindly suggested I store my bike behind the desk. I was worried about leaving it outside overnight and I truly appreciated the suggestion. Made me feel instantly welcome. A couple of days later, Taylor helped me resolve a parking situation and kindly called parking services for me to take care of it right there and then. I was so grateful not to have to deal with it. Thank you! I had several delicious cups of coffee downstairs made with care and pretty too! Karel, Austin and Amale were so attentive and patient. I couldn't ask for better customer service all around! Aside from the great people at the inn, we were able to walk to The Pier, the AMC theater, Jannus Live to catch a live show and loads of coffee shops, breweries and retail shops. We had a great time and I wouldn't hesitate to return for another stay! Thank you for making our weekend special!

A complete failure in hospitality, avoid at all costs As two people who work in and understand the hospitality industry, we can confidently say our experience at The Cordova Inn was among the worst we’ve ever had at any hotel, anywhere. My partner and I arrived on Friday for what was meant to be a memorable and meaningful weekend, as I had planned to propose. We noted this in the reservation, hoping for a stay that reflected even a basic level of care or attention. What we received instead was a glaring example of negligence, poor management, and disregard for fundamental hospitality standards. Upon check-in, the front desk attendant was mid-way through a personal phone call, which she continued for three full minutes before acknowledging us. This set the tone for what followed. The room we were given was unbearably hot. Not “a little warm,” it felt like stepping into a sauna. The AC barely functioned, and when we brought it to the front desk’s attention, we were told to “just give it time.” We did. It didn’t help. We lowered the thermostat, took cold showers (in a bathroom coated in limescale), and tried to make the best of it. It only got worse. There was visible hair, not ours, in the bed and bathroom — a clear sign the room had not been cleaned properly. To make matters worse, some of my partner’s personal items went missing from her bag while we were out. This added stress and concern to an already uncomfortable experience. We left for dinner, hoping the room would cool off by the time we returned. It hadn’t. By 10 PM, there were no staff members available to reassign us to another room, not even to respond to a complaint. That level of inaccessibility and indifference is simply unacceptable. At 12 midnight, we booked and checked into a nearby hotel just to have a clean room, working AC, and a basic sense of professionalism. We returned the next morning to check out of The Cordova Inn and double-checked the room before leaving — unsurprisingly, it was still unbearably hot. This hotel’s lack of care, cleanliness, and customer service completely derailed what should have been one of the most meaningful weekends of our lives. We don’t take writing reviews lightly, but this experience demands attention — and frankly, resolution. At a minimum, a full refund would be an appropriate gesture, though it does little to fix what we endured. The Cordova Inn should be ashamed of the experience it provided. Until serious changes are made, we recommend every traveler look elsewhere.

Instead of a memorable stay, we were met with neglect and unprofessionalism. The front desk attendant was on a personal call for three minutes before checking us in. Our room was unbearably hot, the AC barely worked, and the bathroom was covered in limescale. Hair from a previous guest was in the bed and shower. When we reported the heat, we were told to “give it time.” We tried, cold showers, lowering the thermostat, but it remained stifling. We left for dinner hoping it would improve. It didn’t. By 10 PM, there was no staff available to assist us. Some of my partner’s personal items were also missing from her bag. At 12 midnight, we gave up, booked a room at another hotel, and finally got working AC and basic cleanliness. We checked out the next morning. The room was still sauna-hot. This was, without question, the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. We work in hospitality and expect the bare minimum, cleanliness, working AC, safety, and basic service. The Cordova Inn failed on all fronts. A full refund would be the least appropriate response. Until serious improvements are made, we strongly urge others to stay elsewhere.

"Great hotel and staff"

Perfect Staycation – Incredible Staff & Vibe As a local looking for a relaxing staycation, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming—but what really made the stay exceptional was the staff. Huge shoutout to both Austins and Eli for making the best espresso martinis we’ve ever had—seriously, don’t miss them! They brought great energy to the bar and made every night fun. Slav made check-in smooth and stress-free, and Taylor was always available and super helpful with any questions we had during our 4-day stay. This place has officially become my go-to for a local getaway.

"Great bartender, great drink"

Austin P. Made me one of the best coffee drinks I’ve ever had. It was pretty busy in there, but he was moving fast and getting everybody served quickly and had a very friendly demeanor. The café, where I got my coffee had a nice atmosphere and everybody was very friendly.

"Great experience"

Austin P makes the best cocktails! We had a couple lattes followed by cocktails. Austin’s recooked dations were on point. The espresso martini is a must! Will definitely be back!
