The Cordova Inn, a New Hotel Collection Property

Well slap my ass and call my Sally!! Let me start by saying this is a fabulous little spot to stay in Downtown St Pete. Pretty much a short walk from anything a small family would want to see/do (parks, museums, food, beach). Perhaps the best part of our stay was the gentleman up front that served as our personal concierge and travel advisor. He goes by “Slav” but my kids called him “cool daddy” for the entire trip. He was friendly, hospitable and extremely knowledgeable of the local scene. Whatever Cordova is paying him, it’s not enough!

Recently came in for dinner and sat at the bar. Austin was super attentive and made a couple of great drink recommendations. My husband’s favorite was the Cordova club. The cocktails went really well with the food, and the whole vibe of the restaurant was relaxed but slightly upscale. Great experience overall!

I Came in on a Tuesday night and Austin P was the bartender, he made me a delicious espresso Martini! I will definitely be coming back soon!

I usually come in the afternoon but recently have been visiting in the morning and I love the fun coffees they offer. The Cordova in the morning is a different vibe where you can chit chat read a book or even get some work done. Karel is a great barista and also easy to talk to, she recommended the Cordova classic and definitely was a right choice also Taylor the front desk person is super sweet, very friendly staff. I will be returning to try all the delicious items on the menu!

Passed by to redeem my coffee voucher for the summer coffee battle and this shop was my favorite. Shout out Karel for making me the best coffee in the city, I highly recommend!

Taylor was so kind and knowledgeable about pricing and rooms available throughout the entire hotel. I originally came for the bar to grab a drink where Eli was my bartender, not only were the drinks amazing but also the service. Everyone was very friendly and I will definitely be returning to book a stay for the weekend!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The hotel coffee bar was always amazing the bartenders were super friendly and all other staff was always great. We loved the historic feel of the building and the eclectic style. Was great location and walking distance to most things.

I enjoy boutique hotels with their quirks and imperfections -it's part of the charm. I also want to stress that this review has nothing to do with the current expansion construction occurring at the property. I have stayed at the Cordova previously and thought I understood what I was in for during the stay. The room was clean and tidy; however the remainder of the amenities were rubbish. The upstairs portion of the building does not have central HVAC, so they had fans all over the place to move the very humid air around. The rooms have window AC units, but they are old and no match for the humid Florida summers. There was a ceiling fan and auxiliary fan in the room, which made it tolerable and, in the evenings, easier to sleep. What made the stay unbearable was the bathroom. I cannot express how impossibly small the bathroom is and to use the toilet, which was merely inches from the sink, one had to snake into an S-curve to have a chance, and all the while have the sink directly in your face. The shower was barely large enough for a grown man and the water pressure was nil. I want to stress this -the water pressure was almost zero and the water temperature was either scaling or freezing -nothing in between. I resorted to lathering up in the sink and washing up with a washcloth. We have previously enjoyed staying at the Cordova, but it seems that the property owners are putting everything into their new expansion and letting the historic part of the building go to pot.
