I didn't read the reviews until after I had made and paid for the reservations for the nights of 11-7 and 11-8. Many of the reviews were not positive and so I got a knot in my stomach because there was no refunds. The closer we got to Carson City from our home in California the more tight my stomach got. When we got to the registration desk we asked to see the room before we brought our stuff in. The young man working the desk happily oblidged and showed us to room 103. When he opened the door, we walked in expecting the worst. I was so happy I could have kissed him,lol! The room was very clean and inviting. There was a small stain on the carpet but that was it. It is an older hotel so it doesn't look brand new but big deal. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and we have found our place to stay when we are in CCarson City.

Staff was great! We had 7 rooms total for Nevada Day weekend with our group. Location to downtown is perfect for events and the parking is wonderful. Our rooms were located near each other and the staff as very accommodating. We enjoyed using the lobby in the evening for meeting up and visiting without disturbing those in their rooms. Parking passes for Nevada Day weekend was perfect. We will be booking our rooms for next year soon.

During the summer we did have to move hotels due to AC issues, this trip some of the rooms were very cold, but portable heaters were available upon request. Some guests were given fans instead of heaters though. Coffee was empty whenever we went to get some but do understand the hotel was packed. Maybe some additional carafes during high occupancy would help.

Be staying at the Hardman House for over 20 years. I’ve never seen a place go downhill like this. It’s absolutely trashed. The hallways carpet looks like a crime scene. Huge tears and stains. The room itself #208) was filthy. Stained carpet, dirty walls, dust everywhere, windows hadn’t been washed, rotted curtains. The bathroom was disgusting with flooring stained,water damage above the tub with mold growing etc. Hard to believe that they could think anything like that is acceptable. I own rental property and would never consider renting in that condition. Shame because it used to be a decent place to stay. It’s definitely the last time for us.
