Fairfield Inn & Suites Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport

I liked the location so close to the airport but yet so quiet. The check in staff was a little unfriendly and impatient but other than that our experience was positive.

Very nice, clean rooms and great motel

Quick Take: Fairfield Inn & Suites in Mendota Heights, MN, is a gem. Safe, clean, and run by a team that truly cares. • Rooms: Comfortable King rooms and spacious suites with all the essentials. Beds you’ll actually look forward to. • Breakfast: More than “hot breakfast” — it’s great. Eggs, omelets, potatoes, bacon/sausage, waffles, fruit, cereals, and more. Freddy, the kitchen manager, keeps it stocked and spotless to the last minute. • Service: Friendly, professional front desk (special thanks to Philomena!) and reliable airport shuttle. • Hotel: A little older than some Marriotts, but very well maintained — the best we’ve stayed at in years. • Great Value: We are retired with a budget, so we must stay within. The Fairfield Inn fits in our budget. Bottom line: You can’t go wrong staying here.

Breakfast was quite good/ healthy choices. Bed/room was spacious and clean. Check in staff was having computer issues which they resolved but made many people mad. No free Wi-Fi unless you sign up for their app. Silly and annoying

Very nice place and very nice pool

The staff were friendly and addressed concerns as raised.

The room was unclean. My daughter found old lip gloss under her bed. There were also old candy wrappers in the room that were found. The bathroom looked unclean, and the shower we wore shoes in as there were black marks around the plug hole and the base of the bath, which made us question its cleanliness. The door handle to the bathroom was falling out. There was a notable gap between the handle and the door. The door also did not lock. It was shown to the maintenance man who said he would make a note of it at the front desk but did not fix it. The fridge in the room which we needed for medicine was dead. It did not get cold. When we asked that it get checked, they ended up having to replace it with the fridge from reception as our original one was not fixable. The pool is smaller than advertised in the images on booking.com, and it is not maintained well. My husband was going to use the hot tub but felt it was unclean and did not want to get in. This hotel would be fine for a single person doing an overnight between flights, but for families or people wanting a longer stay, I would not recommend it.
