Extended Stay America Suites - Portland - Scarborough

The whole hotel smelled stale, no one ever did any house cleaning the entire time we were there! We even had to get our own clean towels! We had to buy deodorizers because the room smelled like they just painted over the cigarette smoke on the walls, and the carpet was stained and filthy!!!! It was altogether a bad experience

Well the bed was pretty hard and woke up with very bad leg pain and my boyfriend thought it was too hard as well The tub was not draining quickly so we would leave it and the next day it would be drained We requested new sheets and towels and I am pretty sure because he did not grab them and take them up right when we were going out we were not able to get those although I did not read in the description if that was even a thing and the key card failed us the first time so we had to swap it out but they do have a vending machine although we were on a budget so sadly we got very little from it either way I probably will be looking for somewhere nicer to sleep next time atleast a comfy bed is a must for me but the new sheets thing also really bothers me I know I could have gone to get some that night but I have social anxiety so I did not feel comfortable doing it so I wished there had been some clean ones in the room for me to use and swap out as I had needed but it was a fine experience the water does get nice and hot and there is WiFi we watched Harry Potter all weekend because it was just basic cable um but the staff we relatively friendly and nice to talk with

Mattress was terribly uncomfortable, felt like springs would poke thru at any time. Very old property. Smelled of stale smoke. Seemed to be the overflow for a homeless shelter.

Seemed no staff was onsite at 2am - as the lobby check in had a metal roll down window and a little box for key return. Never been in a hotel like that - seems there is always someone at the front counter and or security, ? A parking spot in front marked for Police - as if a perm spot was needed for police. ? The elevator needs a good scrub - the floor outside on 2nd floor had a puddle of something - maybe pet urine? Sticky it seemed as you could not avoid.

They allow dogs. Big fridge.

Very expensive. $1200 weekly Stove barely cooks an egg

Stayed one night. Staff was friendly and helpful

The front desk was manned by Teryka Nutter when we checked in. She was excellent-friendly, knowledgeable & very helpful.

I did not like anything. There was no one there to check us in. It took me calling 2 times to get someone to come downstairs. They seemed like they had to be called out of bed. Never have I ever been to a hotel that there isn't someone constantly at a desk; and if they are not sitting there they are in a back room so they can keep an eye on the desk.

Everything. It was such a horrible experience. We waited over 20 minutes just for someone to meet us at the door.

Price was beat in town and a good place to stay
