Extended Stay America Suites - Portland - Scarborough

Worst service. Manager walked into our room at 11pm stating "our name was not on the room." Same manger checked us in after saying we had two reservations. Only had one. This place is so poorly ran. Will not go back.

What a great spot!! Staff were super nice from check in to check out! Place was clean & quiet, room spacious with comfy bed. Great area for pets! Highly recommend & will stay there again!!!

Sticky carpet. No body lotion.

Not much to like. Arrived and checked in, went to room and dropped off luggage and other items, went shopping, returned to find that both our key cards did not work, went to front desk and they stated that we were never put in the system as having the room and they had given it to someone else because the room was available!! Turns out the other guests entered are room while we were gone and then reported the room was occupied when they went in. They were not impressed and left the hotel. When we were told of the situation we did not feel comfortable staying for fear that someone else would walk in our room for the same reason. This was a huge error!! We left the facility and I am waiting to get a refund but not sure it will happen. Steer clear of this hotel, it is soooo sketchy.

We stayed at this hotel because it was cost effective $248 a night. I wasn’t expecting bells and whistles, but the door you had to yank open to start with and then you had to push it shut to make sure it closed all the way. Next, the kitchen was big, but the light was “burnt” out with a strange red glow. The bathroom sink hadn’t been cleaned, which was the least of my concerns, and there wasn’t a drain pug in the shower/tub. I’ve never seen that before. A fly flew out of it. In the bedroom, there was a wet spot on the floor which I stepped in. I placed napkins over it. There was also a dead fly on the window sill. Finally, the sheets did not feel or look newly cleaned. I always check the mattress for bugs or any signs of uncleanliness, and there was clearly a cigarette burn in the mattress (it was a nonsmoking room). Again, I wasn’t expecting the a Ritz Carlton because it needed to be budget friendly. The next closest hotels were $369 and up per night. I grew up in Maine so I know they cater to tourists and the summer rates are expensive, but this room was simply not clean.

It was very outdated. Floors were stained and sticky.

The staff is so incredibly nice and accommodating. Everyone working there from the front desk ladies to the house keeping crew were so friendly and kind. Our room was spacious and clean and quiet. The grounds around the hotel are beautiful. We had a lovely stay. I will definitely book this hotel again.
