Relais Villa Olmo - Place of Charme

We had a wonderful time at Relais Villa Olmo celebrating our anniversary. The grounds were so beautiful and the staff were all so incredibly kind and helpful. The restaurant and pool bar has a few gluten free options, and they were very accommodating for this celiac, however the kitchen could not guarantee against cross contamination. The breakfast buffet was incredible. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We have been at Villa Olmo three years in a row now. This time it felt like the place was too busy making money on us rather than giving that very special feeling of being at an intimate and beautiful place with good service.

The view was gorgeous! We expected more from a hotel like this - it was missing basic amenities like conditioner, dish towel / paper towels in our kitchenette. We had the private pool and it is not worth paying more as the pool area has broken seats and the table in our private courtyard was dirty with no seat cushions. It is not luxury but does come at a luxury price tag.

Dagelijks gratis flesje water op de kamer. Schoonmaak over de dagen heen is netjes. Parkeerplek gratis voor de deur. Dag van aankomst mocht je bij het zwembad liggen (met extra gast) voordat je kon inchecken.

1:15 uur na oorspronkelijke inchecktijd was de kamer pas klaar. Je krijgt een magere sorry en de opmerking dat je t maar moet accepteren omdat het teveel is voor de housekeeping. Hotel zou aan tegemoetkoming kunnen doen, maar in plaats daarvan maken ze hun probleem jou probleem. (Trouwerij)feestje is bij het hotel. Als gast wordt je er niet over geïnformeerd, wel ondervind je er veel hinder aan. Bij het zwembad beginnen ze halverwege de middag met het opzetten, en heb je overlast van de muziek die ze testen. De dag erna is er een fotoshoot bij het zwembad van de bruid en bruidsmeisjes waardoor je langere tijd niet het zwembad in kan en je je privacy aangetast voelt, want je staat op meerdere foto’s in enkel zwemkleding zonder toestemming. Bedje bij het zwembad kapot en erg vergeeld, ruiken muf. Niet genoeg handdoeken gedurende dag, kom je later aan bij t zwembad heb je geen handdoek of je moet minstens 30 minuten wachten als je het aan een personeelslid vraagt. Dame bij het ontbijt staat er voornamelijk alleen voor. Ze kijkt omlaag bij het serveren van de koffie om zo niet meer verzoeken te krijgen. Als je niet 15 minuten op koffie wilt wachten moet je t zelf halen bij de bar. Verder bij het ontbijt is er veel tussendoor op, aanvullen duurt erg lang. Kamer was bij aankomst erg stoffig en haar op t bed en in de douche. Douche temperaturen verschillen erg. Tijdens t douchen kan het opeens heel erg warm worden of juist erg afkoelen. Geen verduisterende gordijnen in de kamer. Hierdoor vanaf erg vroeg licht in de ochtend. Dit maakt dat je vroeger wakker wordt dan je eigenlijk wilt. Bij het zwembad veel overlast van wespen. Soms wel 5/6 die om je heen komen vliegen. Ook nemen ze de douches over waardoor je die liever niet gebruikt. Daarnaast missen er roosters voor de filters in t zwembad. Scherm aan je voeten.

No complaints but some constructive feedback would be : -new sun loungers by the pool, they were quite uncomfortable and some were starting to break, we generally spent most of our day on them when at the hotel so felt they needed a bit more attention -one of the days the pool bar staff didn’t open until later than stated so we couldn’t get drinks until around midday -some of the lunch options by the pool could have been made by the kitchen rather than the staff at the pool bar or cheaper to reflect the standard -some music in the restaurant would be lovely so you can chat without feeling like everyone can hear you

Relais molto curato e immerso nelle colline Toscane, abbiamo anche cenato e direi eccezionale sia il ristorante che la cucina, divina! Colazione con prodotti freschissimi e buonissimi. Ci torneremo sicuramente
