While other reviews focused on this being an older property, it's not bad at all, plus the manager Peter is very positive and helpful. When I explained that my kids were staying with me for a night he moved me to a 2 bedroom room and didn't charge anything extra. Meanwhile they have lots of information about things to do in Estes, on the weekends they have a guitarist that plays outside by a fire-pit, they were getting ready to open the pool for the season when I was there, and the breakfast was basic, but very good. Sure you could spend a ton more and get more, but for what it is I consider Blue Door Inn to be a gem in this beautiful location!

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We really enjoyed the breakfast - good hot food options. Very pleasant eating place with beautiful mountain views. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. We would've stayed longer but the snow chased us away.

The property was somewhat run down - worn steps and railings seemed a little unsafe.

The deadbolt lock on the door was broken. It was a first floor room so it didn’t feel very secure.
