"Long time and frequent guest banned - rediculous"

2.0

I have stayed at Kasa many times over the past 2 years when I go to the Bay Area for work or pleasure. The rooms are small, but very clean. The desk to work on is nearly non-existent. There are no closets to hang clothes, but rather about a 7" rod sticking out from the wall for a few clothes. Their 24/7 text service is a farce. It is an AI text only with general information...not much help until the next day. The local team has always been why I return despite the short comings mentioned above. However this trip was a disaster. I always bring my pet which this time had an accident on the floor during the night, which I cleaned up thoroughly. However between me carrying all luggage, etc. downstairs to the car at 5:00am, I came back up to get the dog. I did not see that he had another small accident on the opposite of the bed...I was in a hurry. Additionally, I dropped by water bottle by the door and used a towel to clean up the water spill. The floor was dirty and got dirt on the towel...I did NOT use the towels to clean up the dog accidents (paper towel, cleaner and water). After checking out, I got an email that the $250 deposit was charged for the extra clean up for the dog accident, which was high, but fine as that is what it is for and it was my oversight. They also sent a picture of the towel I used to clean up the water by the door (paper towels were already packed and in the car). They accused me of using the towel to clean up the dog poo poo. I did not. They said they were banning me from ever staying there again! A long time customer and one oversight which was really only two small spots on the floor. I would never recommend anyone to stay there for this reason of how they treat recurring customers who had one small blemish. The service was the ONLY reason I kept returning there....otherwise, rooms small, no desk, poor parking, noisy plumbing at night/early morning, etc.

"Kasa Niche - Unit 108"

8.0

The location is fun and central. Two nearby street blocks are blocked off to allow pedestrians to casually stroll. The room was light, bright, and clean. The lighting was well designed, thoughtful, and a bit luxe. Anywhere you needed a light, you'd find one. A band of white-violet light wraps around the bed and emanates between the mattress and the frame. The bathroom mirror light has three settings: cold, warm, and something else I've forgotten. There's a vessel sink, and a barn door separates the toilet and shower from the rest of the room. At the same time, I was disappointed by the coffee and tea selections, and surprised that they offered powdered creamers. I wanted at least one chair in the room, although I'm not sure where they'd put it. The refrigerator cycles on and off, which you may notice when trying to sleep. The shade design is really clever, but doesn't exactly create a blackout curtain effect. There was considerably less noise than a typical hotel. They offered eye masks and ear plugs, but we didn't end up using them. Overall, a nice place to stay for a night or two. Eventually, you'll want a chair.

"You get what you pay for"

6.0

The walls are so thin- I could hear people walking by and the people upstairs all night. My fiancé even said he could hear my hairdryer from half way down the hallway. There was a woman screaming in the hall for about 2 hours. The bathroom light is a ring light or the light with the fan. Felt like a room meant for looks than function.
