Kasa Niche Hotel Redwood City

I appreciate the concept of Kasa Niche. The place is modern, up-to-date, and gives people what they need in a clean, modern setting, without all the stuff that older model hotels try to layer in. Where they need to focus more attention is on their tech and basic security. The front door panel is operated by a keypad, as it the hotel rooms. Trouble is, for the front door, the buttons would stick (in), and it would take a few tries to get it to open. Not good when arriving home late a night and there might be some shifty people hanging around just down the block. Same goes for my room: you are supposed to hold your hand over a keypad to activate it, but often times it would not "wake up" after the first few tries. This is annoying and slightly stressful. And as a last point of critique, I'd say the walls and ceiling are very thin. You can hear every noise: the guy coughing his lungs out down the hall; the ice machine down the hall duming a load of ice; people talking in the next room; the guy sleeping in the bushes in the alleyway; the cars roaring up and down the alleyway. All this being said, it is still a fine place to stay if you're like me and don't like hanging out in your room. I like to get out and adventure around. The place was clean, I could take care of my own linens no problem, it was modern, sylish, etc etc.

Efficient, clean, and simple. Perfect!! And it's right in the heart of downtown Redwood City! Staff was friendly and helpful. The manager and housekeepers are very nice.there is free coffee and fruit in the lobby. Entrance to the building and your room is automated with codes. Furniture is modern and new.

This is a solid hotel located in a vibrant and charming area, within easy walking distance of many restaurants and coffee shops. The room was clean and comfortable. My only concerns were that the building doesn’t have an elevator, so I had to carry my large suitcase up and down the stairs (it’s only two stories, but still a bit inconvenient). Additionally, check-in and check-out are fully automated. I’m a bit old school and prefer having a person to talk to in case any issues or questions come up. While they did check in with me regularly by phone, basic requests—like storing my luggage at the hotel after check-out—couldn't be accommodated, which was a bit disappointing.

Great value, clean and comfortable!! I needed some accommodations as I was going to be having surgery and staff was prompt and very helpful to fulfill my needs. I am very grateful and would definitely stay at this property in the future.

Great convenience, accessibility!

Neat, fresh, very clean. My only wish was that the ambient sound from the ventilation (?) was not so noticeable. As a light sleeper, it took a little ng time to adjust to the “system noise.”

Check in and check out was quick and easy. Everything is done online and you enter the building and your room with pin codes. Rooms are small but modern and clean. Excellent value for the money, amenities like free coffee and bottled water were a nice touch.

Nice property in a convenient location. Contactless check in was super quick and east. Room was small but we only needed it for a night, so it was great. Very clean!

It’s a tech scam. $250 downpayment for damages(!) or $21 fee not refunded. 4:00 check in. Of you pay extra you can check in earlier, not a small fee. Small room. They take biometric data and sell it. No staff - self check in. I am not easlily spooked but I blew off the reservation (lost money) out of disgust (nonrefundable) and stayed in a SUITE at Holiday Inn for $20 less per night. I felt used.

Seamless check in. Updated room. Nice touches with the amenities. Would stay again.
