Ramada by Wyndham Saginaw Hotel & Suites

Positively the MOST DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN. The floors have hair!!! on them. Every surface is covered with dirt and dust. The first room had NO HOT WATER plus tv was nonfunctional and front desk guy was clueless. The front desk blamed lack of hot water on small pipes! He offered to change our room from the first floor to the second where surprisingly, we do have hot water. The filters in the A/C unit were caked with filth. All lamp shades covered with dust.

Property is not located in positive area, main entrance is not where GPS says, construction taking place, so have to be persistent to arrive at from door. Needs more lighting.

Hall lights were scheduled to come on at dusk?? When we arrived , too dark.

Great location to shopping and amenities. This is our second time staying here and its always been a pleasure! Staff is always so friendly and accommodating and the room is always clean and comfortable! Will always come here when I visit Saginaw! Plus its a good price, considering Im coming to stay from Ontario, this is a great deal!

Not much to say about any dislikes, we have never had any issues, just the odd plumbing issue, the bathroom sink took a little while for the water to go down but thats not enough to be upset over. Its an older hotel with Im sure older pipes and obviously multiple guests so this is bound to happen.

Honestly for the price I paid it was what was expected. What was not expected was I had to pay a $100 deposit that was not disclosed until check in. At check in was told the deposit was a hold until we checked out. Upon checking out I was told it would be back on my card in about an hour. I checked a few hours later and it was not. I called the front desk and was told 4-5 business days. He stated there is no bank that would give the deposit back before then. That's not true, I have had plenty on deposits given back with in an hour. To me this sounds like no one wants to actually to the job required and just tell the customer what ever. I can't argue cause it won't give the money sooner. So I can give a review. I think this information needs to be given up front not after check in or check out. Other than that the experience was good. Very quiet and pleasant. Easy access to my room.
