Nantasket Beach Resort

Checking in to a supposedly 3 star hotel means you expect a certain level of care and cleanliness. Not here! Dust bunnies in every corner of the room, towels taken and clean ones not left behind. Having to ask at the front desk for clean sheets for a second day in a row because they didn't change them the first time. Toilet paper not replaced and a shower and sink that never got wiped out in our 8 night stay. Soundproofing was non-existent and the guests in the hallway sounded as if they were in your room. Parties at all hours and multiple instances of people carrying on well after the so-called "quiet hours". At an average $200 a night, we overpaid and would have been better off at a Comfort Inn.

Wonderful experience. Beach front views and access. On site dining was terrific minus one selection. Priced reasonably and competitively. Would stay here again without hesitation if the need to be in the area arises again.

The welcoming staff were open and helpful and intelligent. The living room with active fireplace is decorated in simple good taste as was our bedroom. I did not mind the limited space of the room due to its two glass doors leading to a 180o degree view unobstructed horizon above the beach. The sound of the waves was relaxing. The traffic below the balcony hardly mattered.

Quiet during winter months. We were able to get ocean view room at affordable price do to season. Hotel restaurant and staff was amazing. Spa staff and cleanliness was fantastic. Very cute bakery/coffee spot behind hotel. Highly recommend!!

Stayed 2 nights in ocean front room with gorgeous view. We had a ton of bad issues. Glass sliding door was barely moving to open to beach front. Shower door broken and water leaked all over floor. Sink bathroom stopped up and the pull lever did not work. . Phone in room would not work. No smart TVs and no high definition for a high cost hotel. Smoke detector beeping in middle of night. Biggest complaint - the front desk would NOT answer the phone. Very frustrating at numerous calls over 3 days. Walked down to front desk numberous times and nobody was behind the desk. Same person was upstairs pulling out sheets and roll away beds. Major management issues . The smoke detector went off for 30 min and then they sent housekeeping up and of course, they don’t change batteries. So many issues and so much frustration without a front desk attendant and refusing to answer the phones. Several other guests in line to complain and again, no front desk employee and the phones just ringing. Ridiculous. On the positive side, there is not much to choose from and the location and beach is terrific for this hotel. The restaurant downstairs is separately run and it was terrific and very convenient. I doubt I would stay here again even though it’s about the only resort on the strip.

Going in the winter, I can't give a full review of the area which is most busy when there's not a foot of snow on the ground. The hotel is in a great spot, with beautiful views of the ocean. Parking was a bit tight and in the summer it must be crazy. The rooms were nice and the restaurant served good food.

Great location for a winter getaway, steps from the beach. Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, fluffy towels, super comfortable bed, great food at Boathouse Bistro on site. We ate there every night despite recommended local alternatives. 5-star stay.
