Sun & Sand Resort Oceanfront Suites

Very good price, excellent location, and exceptionally large room. Older building, simple room but great for having children and being right on the beach. Unsure when I read reviews, but once arriving, and seeing the room, the location, and efforts being made to continually work on the hotel, I was very satisfied. Definitely would stay there again.

Location was great. Rooms were big

The furniture was very old and stained. I didn't even want to sit on couch or chair. Needs an upgrade badly. Elevator was filthy. Worse I ever seen. Hardly any parking and spaces too tight. My car was blocked in our whole Saturday here so we couldn't drive and had to walk to get food. There was a curfew in place so we couldn't be out after 9pm. I would have gotten a refund and left after 10 min of being there if I could have gotten a refund. I definitely want a partial refund. It was my anniversary 4/20 so that was reason for our stay but I wish I would of stayed home and saved my money. This hotel was definitely overpriced.

It was close to the amusement park

Pull out sofa bed was broken, refrigerator didn't work, and the water wasn't hot. I was suppose to check n at 4 . Room wasn't ready till bout 5:45. When we finally checked n they didnt even let us know that there was a curfew set for 930 for everyone on the strip

The balcony view and the breeze coming in from there were top notch. The two room suite was comfortable for my husband, myself, my friend and our 3 kids. The hot water was HOT. The bathroom was very nice, too. The office staff was very polite to us, as were other staff in the halls. It was not a luxury hotel by any means but fit our needs well enough the room was a great value for the money as we could just walk down to the boardwalk and do anything we wanted.

The bed linens were stained and a bit worn which I've never seen in a hotel before but they were clean and we did not see signs of bedbugs. The room could definitely have been cleaner, which made me uncomfy at first but by the time the kids tracked in sand from the beach it felt like a moot point. Parking was limited and only one spot is free per room rented. Our whole group could not fit in one vehicle, so we were charged $40 for our two night stay in order for my friend's vehicle to be parked. We were grateful that she didn't have to make the long walk from public parking, but it's an expense to be aware of. The pool was closed but it's April so I guess that's to be expected. Other said the elevator was broken but thankfully it was fixed for our stay. A bit slow, but functional.
