The location is across the street from a series of pubs, restaurants, an ice cream shop, and stores on the Grassmarket Square. It also is conveniently where two of the Hop On - Hop Off lines stop. You can also see Edinburgh Castle towering over the city. Beautiful!

"Fabulous Fiftieth Anniversary"

We’ve just returned from our trip to Scotland and The Apex Hotel was the perfect accommodation for our 8 days in Edinburgh. It’s a grand old hotel, well appointed, clean and very classy… set in the best location. Just a few minutes walk to the Tram, the Edinburgh Bus system and Waverley Train Station. The Hop on Hop Off is right across the street and most attractions are less than a thirty minute walk away. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast is outstanding. We enjoyed sipping a wee dram, in the cozy bar after a day exploring. We highly recommend booking the Apex for your stay in this beautiful city and are already planning our return visit.

"Great location, good breakfast."

Room had everything you needed.

The hotel room doors are not soft closing and the room opposite all throughout the night kept going back into their room. Only had 3 hours sleep : ((
