We noted a late check-in on the app, as well as digital key. Upon arriving at the hotel around 11p, the front desk clerk was unable to provide us with a key or enable the digital key on our app due to a system error. She was able to get us checked into our room by letting us in with a master key, and indicated she would slip our keys under the door. Shortly after midnight, she attempted to slide the keys under our door, but couldn't so ended up knocking to provide them to us. Breakfast the next morning at ~8:45a showed a buffet with about half of the steamer trays empty. We got some eggs and sausage, only to find that the eggs had human hair in it (not ours!) that made us lose our appetite. We had no desire after this experience to come back to breakfast on Sunday. The room was in disrepair - the fitted sheets had holes in them, there were water stains and bulging in the ceiling, and the furnishings showed substantial wear.

The very first night the closet doors came off of its track. I mentioned that to the manager next morning. He did not do anything to fix it. Next night it fell on my knee, and then on to the floor. My right knee is still in pain. I promptly reported that to the manager on duty next morning. She said she will report that to the general manager and she will give me some points on my Marriott bonvoy account. I told her that I don’t have an active Marriott account anymore. Offered a room change if any becomes available. They said I can move to another floor by Saturday evening which I declined as my daughter was also staying in the next room. Repair man came and took the door. No repairs were made.

Kishan front desk was phenomenal!!! He was kind and accommodating in every way, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy! We would stay here in a heartbeat again if we came back to Chicago!!!! Thank you Kishan!!

Everything was wonderful here. Andy and Christian were amazing getting us an early check in due to extremely awful experience at a different hotel in the same city. Made us feel welcome and wanted as guests. Breakfast was great, as was clean and even with hockey team starting at the hotel it was a nice and quiet experience. Will stay here again when in town!
