Days Inn by Wyndham West Rapid City

It’s a nice quiet hotel not much was really going on and not many people there it was nice

Well there where a number of things wrong with my room, first the heater did not stay hot, the bathroom light would stop working at random, the toilet would not stop running, there was an irritating buzzing coming from the walls, and to put the cherry on top I found a bag of dog poop, yes DOG POOP under my bed, the staff was wonderful bit of a language barrier but we got thru it

It was literally the most disgusting room I’ve ever seen. Blood on the wall, stains on the bed, and it looked like someone jizzed on the door and smeared their hand in it. There was black mold in the bathroom.

Stay away! Dont even make reservations! Made a reservation and called to cancel no one answering the phones had authorization! Had to send an email to a provided address. Finally got confirmation and was still charged! Tried calling again and the same run around. Have been completely ignored. Now using the dispute process with my CC company.

We felt really safe in the room (as far as traveling alone as females is concerned) and the price was really satisfying (cheaper in booking than hotel itself). The beds were comfortable.

When we entered the room we found that the light switches on 3 of the nightstand lamps were missing so we had no chance of using those. After falling into bed we realized that one of the pillow cases was really dirty and had stains on it sich made us feel a little uncomfortable. The fridge in the room as well had stains in it. It was something red and brown, we didn’t bother to investigate that any further as we were disgusted by it. The batteries of the remotes form the tv were empty (we didn’t care that much but it just added to the overall unhappiness). When we finally wanted to take a shower after a long day of traveling we came to realize there were no fresh towels for showering and only one face towel for 2 people! After getting our own towels out of our luggage the next issue occurred. The shower was kind of broken and it took us a few minutes to turn it on. It just didn’t get warm since the handle was not functional. The breakfast that was included in our booking was very unsatisfying. The waffle dough dispenser was really hard to operate and when asking for help the receptionist moaned at us and unmotivatedly blamed us for not using it correctly. We asked if there is any kind of filtered water (since we couldn’t find it at the buffet) and we were told to go outside and buy some from the vending machine!?! What hotel does not have filtered drinking water? But 8 kinds of coffe. (We later discovered that there was filtered water around the coffee form the buffet which we were not told upon inquiring about the water!) Then we decided to get apple juice from the buffet just to find out that it has gone bad and tasted like alcohol! The bagels were still frozen when we got there at 6.15 to eat breakfast and the maple Sirup was it of stock!
