Paddington House Hotel

Room was cancelled by hotel. CIould not get in touch wuth expedia human agent to find alternative accommodation

This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. Stayed in room 7. Booked double room, but was given a twin room. The carpet was repulsive, the pillows had no pillow cases, there were no towels provided, the bath was rusty, there was no shower facilities, the bathroom floor was rotten and dipped to one side when you approached the toilet. The receptionist could barely speak English and could not provide pillow cases or usable towels. I could not sleep due to severe coughing fits from the mouldy air from the overwhelming dampness throughout the hotel. The smoke detector was covered over.

On arrival I was told there wasn't a room for me as hotel was over booked. However, a room was found but bathroom radiator could not be turned off and room was too hot. It was a hot summers day so no need for heating. Kettle didn't work. Neither did the replacement. I used a socket for the kettle that the lamp worked from.

Honestly this is the worst place I have ever been to. The place is incredibly dodgy and scary. I would not recommend to go there alone, actually go there at all. We got in the room and there were ashs on the side of the bed and the filtration material of the cigarette. No toilet paper either. We asked to change room and when mentioning this to the receptionist he wasn't even shocked. In the other room there was this incredible stink of smoke and my allergy level was absolutely high. you can hear whatever is going on outside. I paid 42£ for this experience perhaps a good price should be 10 £ and that's a lot!

Excellent value, clean, comfortable and very friendly staff. Would recommend.

The Hotel has new owners and has a renovated side and a side yet to be upgraded. All the double rooms have been renovated and look good. My wife and I cannot share a regular double bed, so we switched to a twin room. This side needs the upgrade work. The staff are very helpful. The has one chair and we wanted another, which was not a problem. Covid 19 means there is no dining at any time and no vending machine. Not the fault of the hotel. We did have a value for money break at £15 per person per night. With the current travel restrictions it is good to stay in a local hotel. I am sure that 6 Months from now it will be a much better hotel and the room rates will be higher as a result. We did have a lot of fun it was a good weekend break.

This property is very tired and rundown! There are new rooms renovated, but very small.....and no windows! Although the amenities are new and comfortable, these rooms are inadequate for a comfortable stay. Hotel just taken over by new management!

I think you guys need to go and visit some of the hotels you have on your site the room was nothing like the pictures shown the shower leaked badly the TV didn't work untill they changed it the restaurant was shut the bar was almost non existent

My stay at this hotel was disappointing! The room was very substandard, and dirty. The carpet was disgraceful, a small heater was provided because the main radiator did not function. In the bathroom the radiator was so rusty is was ready to fail if it was ever made to function!....The only pleasant part was the friendly female receptionist.
