Wildwood Lodge & Suites

It is close to several restaurants and convenience stores. It is very close to the interstate. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast is nice. I have absolutely no complaints.

Wildwood Lodge is truly a wonderful hotel! It has character instead of feeling like a cookie cutter. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My husband and I checked in after a long drive and then took a nap before meeting friends that night. When the heater kicked on it made an insanely loud noise that we knew we wouldn’t be able to sleep through. The staff quickly moved us to a different room and explained that it was early in the season and that’s when they discover which heaters need work. Please do not take the loud heater as a negative, it wasn’t at all because it wasn’t loud in the new room. I was impressed by how accommodating the staff was and will never stay anywhere but here anytime we travel to Iowa.

The curtains let in too much light and the gap under the door let too much light in on the other side of the room. The water pressure is not very good but that seems to be a hotel thing.

All of it. If it were located in Colorado, it would be $400 a night. Great find. Front desk clerk was lovely. Very nice breakfast.

The front lobby was open, clean and the gal at front desk that evening was very nice. The breakfast variety in the morning gave us many selections which our family liked.

I was disappointed in the beds. The “queen” beds felt smaller than mine at home and the mattresses were very soft so much that when my 40lb child slept the bed looked to sag. I woke up with my hips/SI joints feeling out of place.
