The Ritz-Carlton, Doha

Visited this hotel for dinner recently. Excellant food. Beautiful location. However this review is thanking the amazing staff for the effort they have gone to for my Daughter and Son in law who are celebrating their first wedding anniversary. The Guest relations team have been amazing and have made a special occasion a totally memorable experience. Thank you to everybody involved for the attention to detail and the lovely surprises. This must be the best hotel in Doha

The hotel lobby is elegant and very welcoming truly a great first impression. Special thanks to the security and reception team for their warm hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Fatiha in lobby for her exceptional care, warm welcome, and VIP service. Her presence made the experience even more special.

We went on a family trip, with two kids and was catered well enough for all. It’s about 45 mins from the airport in a taxi. The check in process was swift and very welcoming as we arrived early in the morning from Heathrow. They were kind enough to offer us breakfast that morning which was such a nice gesture which we all really appreciated. We stayed half board. The lobby area is really big and spacious with a nice seating area and cafe letting in lots of natural light. You could access everything from the lobby area easily like the gym, kids club, pool, beach and breakfast. There was a pianist in the evening which I always love the sound of giving it a special feel in the lobby. The rooms were spacious with all the amenities you could want and the housekeeping team were very efficient. The layout of the floors and rooms were interesting in a good way, difficult to describe, almost like terraces with the lobby at the bottom. The room we had had a tiny balcony facing the pool. I was a bit disappointed by this balcony as I usually like to use it as much as possible. Breakfast was good with all the usual things you should expect, the staff there all very good and welcoming. It does get really busy especially on weekends. Coffee was good too, I asked mine to be extra hot as I thought it came a bit cold, I’m fussy with coffee. All the milks available, oat etc.. Dinner was good too with different themed nights everyday and a good kids menu. Lots of choice with salads, soups, breads, meats and sweets. Kids club was average. Kids pool had a slide, kept them entertained. Main pool was big and nicely laid out with a rockery and a big water fall which you could sit under. Swim up bar was nice too. Never had a problem with sun loungers which were comfy too. They had complementary water and watermelon juice all day with sun cream and aloe Vera cooling cream too. The pool was not heated and felt cold, most Ritz Iv stayed in are heated. There’s a cold plunge pool and a jucuzi there too. Lots of outdoor spaces and seating areas which felt private. The gym truly is world class, the best gym Iv ever been too. It was huge with so many work out machines and stations. The changing area and the amenities were brilliant along with the sauna. The steam room was under maintenance when I went. The guy there looking after that area was brilliant. Mosin I think his name was. The buggy guys were efficient and got you to the beach and back swiftly. The beach area is big and lots of loungers and cabanas to use. There are showers and toilets to use there too. There was a bouncy castle put up for the kids with a balloon lady one day, a kids cooking class one day which was nice. The feeding farm was fun for the kids with goats and ducks etc. There is an STK restaurant in the top floor with good views. B lounge which was very nice to visit with good views of the marina. Overall good time had in Doha which we’d never visited before and generally pleased with the hotel.

We arrived at around 6.30pm from LHR and on arrival at reception found check in easy. I had made enquiries before arrival on the possibility of upgrading to The Club Lounge, staff were very helpful so we decided to add that to our booking , this proved to be invaluable. We were escorted to our room by a lovely lady host and after a tiring journey made our way to dinner @ Lagoon. It was International night and the choice of food was plentiful, staff were excellent and we soon felt comfortable. The Club Lounge was next on the agenda , we felt we should familiarise ourselves , we were met by Alexander who was kind enough to show us around and asked us if we would like drinks etc. The facilities on offer including food , drinks , comfortable seating and the exceptional staff who were to become like family members over the course of the holiday made a wow impression on us . Bidding good evening we returned to our room , a lovely view of the night lights across the water from the small balcony ,beautiful bathroom , wardrobe storage , table , 2 chairs , comfortable sofa and the most comfortable bed with the softest pillows beckoned . After a wonderful breakfast @ Lagoon we made our way to the pool, we were met by very friendly and efficient staff who quickly set up our chosen beds accompanied by a cool box of ice with water and watermelon juice . The pool was freeform and surrounded by palms , Oleander and Bougainvillea, a pretty place to relax and swim made even better by continuous sunshine . The indoor pool was totally stunning , unfortunately for me having severe asthma the chlorine was a bit too much for me so I didn't partake in swimming but did use the lovely facilities of the changing rooms and toilets. The gym was very well equipped but again not something I used for various reasons . At lunchtimes & evenings we returned to the Club Lounge where we were met by Houda, Serti, Mila , Clifton, Alexander, Yousef and such delightful young ladies and gents who couldn't do enough for us. The atmoshere , choice of food , drinks , and hospitality on offer was wonderful both day and night . This continuous service by every member of the Lounge was an absolute delight throughout our holiday and we are incredibly grateful to experience it . Dinner @ Lagoon was exceptional, such a vast array of cold & hot food , desserts and freshly cooked to order meat & fish was delightful and we were spoilt for choice every evening we ate . Our days were pretty much taken up with relaxing , swimming , eating , drinking and socialising so much so that we felt suitably chilled throughout our holiday . We have so many lovely memories and will definitely return , we met many lovely staff and guests , and had such a wonderful time @ The Ritz Carlton . Loved every moment of my stay — truly unforgettable experience! I stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha for two nights and honestly didn’t expect it to leave such a lasting impression. From the very first moment, everything just felt right — warm welcome, peaceful atmosphere, and an elegant setting that immediately puts you at ease. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is amazing, from the spotless rooms to the beautifully designed spaces. What really made the difference for me, though, was the people. Every staff member I encountered was genuinely kind, helpful, and professional — not in a rehearsed way, but in a way that makes you feel like they truly care. That level of natural hospitality is rare and so appreciated. I also want to give a special mention to Moldur from the In-Room Dining team. I didn’t expect room service to stand out so much, but she was honestly amazing — so kind, warm, and professional. Every time she brought something to the room, she did it with such care and a positive attitude, like it really mattered to her that I was comfortable and happy. Her energy is just so uplifting, and it left such a nice impression on me. It’s not often that someone in room service makes such a difference, but she really did. This trip reminded me how important human connection is in hospitality. It’s not just about luxury — it’s about feeling seen and cared for. Can’t wait to come back. If you’re visiting Doha, I genuinely recommend this hotel — it’s not just beautiful, it has heart.

The pool was fantastic, and the service was impeccable from Reagan! The staffs were incredibly nice and friendly, Sylvia, Chrisler and the spa and fitness center facilities are truly the best in Doha. I absolutely loved my time there! The tennis court, enhanced in 2024, now boasts a professional and brightly lit standard with excellent arrangement. A special thanks to Hope, their new therapist, whose skills are simply amazing. And Arunika is a superstar!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Ritz Carlton Doha for 8 nights with our 3 year old. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a team of exceptional staff. We would like to thank Suleiman, Durga, Mohsin, Raihan and Naima. They were all absolutely fantastic! We would also like to give our heartfelt thanks to Lemuel - he greeted us daily with warmth and kindness. His extra effort to engage with our 3 year old son made a significant impact. Our son very quickly became fond of him and would ask for him everyday. As parents this thoughtful attention made us feel extremely happy and made our holiday a very memorable one. Please pass our gratitude to all the above mentioned staff - we are very grateful to them for making our stay a very pleasant and memorable one. The hotel was extremely clean. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Doha and we hope to return one day.

The team across all departments was a joy to work with and accommodated the changes (due to flight cancellation) extremely well. The pastry kitchen is absolutely great, I've not seen so many quality desserts on a lunch buffet in an all day dining restaurant before. Chef Sakil Khan under the leadership of Chef Anik made a nice pot of masala chai and some dosa and paranthas for us - very good! Hsu Lae and the team at the Lagoon restaurant - thank you for your warm service!

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha delivers exceptionally well on its promise of luxury and personalized service. From the warm welcome to the consistently attentive staff, the experience feels thoughtfully curated and family-friendly. The team members went above and beyond to make us feel at home, especially engaging with our young child in a way that made our stay even more meaningful. While the Kids Club fell short of expectations, the overall standard of service and hospitality more than compensated for it, making our visit truly memorable.
