Hotel Continental

Great price for such convenient location in Downtown Lima. Rooms and equipment are a bit old.

This hotel is one of my favorite in Lima. Location is a important, it is right in the middle of the downtown area, right behind wonderful plaza San Martin and four blocks away from main square plaza the armas. Lots of walking streets filled with restaurants, bars and shopping stores, souvenirs, museum, etc. Again, the spot is amazing. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and organised though a bit small for american standards ( europeans would find them perfect size). The breakfast is simple but ok if you need to fill you up before you go. Otherwise, there are plenty of options just outside the building. When the price is good, this is a good hotel to stay in.

Not hot water when showering during the day and common areas are very dark. No heat for the rooms so it can get chilly. Staff was exceptional. Location is good. Rooms need renovation.

The room was huge, the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast could of been better. It was not hot, and if you didn’t get down there early, there was not much to choose from. Our stay was cut short, because of the fact that we have to leave Peru early. The hotel informed us the morning of March 16th, that the boarders were closing at midnight. They did tell us that the couldn’t refund our money for the two nights we didn’t stay. They did tell us if we had to stay we still had two night and we could stay there, if we got struck in Lima for 15 days.

Very clean and friendly hotel. I would stay there again. Only suggestion is get to breakfast early they tend to run out of some of the items latter.
