"Noise canceling headphones should be provided."

The room was very clean but clearly aged. Our porter service was prompt and professional. However, the best part of our stay was meeting Valerie at check-in and speaking to her a few times throughout our visit. She is awesome. The noise was unbearable and we were on the 10th floor. Literally 24/7 LOUD and annoying noise. We could not even hear the ocean. It was like sitting and sleeping in the bleachers at the Daytona 500 by the pitstop. Earplugs and a pillow over my head didn’t even work. The surrounding area is sketchy and rundown. There were unsupervised kids horsing around and misusing the equipment in the very small gym that we reported to security twice. There is tiny game room that was always occupied by rowdy kids and guests (who were obviously there on a freebie and had no respect for the property). The pool/hot tub area looked nice and well maintained (the colder weather kept the disrespectful ‘guests’ out of that area). The HGV Daytona Beach Regency is definitely not a resort. We wouldn’t recommend to our family or friends to ever stay there. HGV should use the 11th floor for member amenities and the elevator utilize room key or code to access.
