The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee

Wonderful place to spend a long birthday weekend! We love the fact our cats are allowed to visit with us! The staff is amazing, very attentive and professional. Our cats enjoy being recognize on our return trips. The family pool is our favorite place to relax and enjoy a mid-afternoon snack. We also enjoy our meals at Gabby's and Linger Longer Steakhouse. The food and service are 5 star. The cotton candy is such a cool after dinner treat! On this visit I would like to say a special 'thank you" to Patrick, the bellhop and to Pamela, the concierge (working Sunday, June 23). Patrick is always so helpful and positive about our fur babies. Pamela went beyond expected service. I had been trying to secure tickets for Red, White, and Deep Blue Celebration at the Ritz on Amelia Island and having no luck. My sister and I wanted to take our 93 year old mother who loves fireworks to the celebration. Pamela worked her magic and within a couple of hours I had tickets for the event. My mom had a wonderful time! Thank you, Pamela.

A true hidden gem just about an hour outside of Atlanta. If you want to get away, love golf and a beautiful lake- this IS THE PLACE!

Beautiful location, casual and fun!

We booked via American Express- highly recommend this program for the extra benefits during your stay. The hotel stay was fantastic. It is a great place in the sense our kids are able to be kids and have fun at the beach and kids pool and arcade. The service is impeccable. The staff there especially Jabbar, Drew and Travis were amazing. Gabe one of the managers was great as well. They all made our stay exceptionally to the point that this will now be an annual retreat for us. Additionally Patricia (customer service rep) was amazing helping us add an extra day to our stay. And Pamela (concierge) was fantastic.

I liked how it felt like you were at a lake house. I liked the smores & restaurant options. I did not like the service (or lack of) getting my bags to my room nor did I like the service we received at the Italian restaurant.

Had confusion with the valet leaving. After 6 cars that pulled up over the course of the 15min, I finally asked where mine was and had to help attendant pic which keys were mine.

We stayed at the Lake Oconee property for a night this past week and had an excellent stay! Overall, I’d highly recommend and will definitely be back. The surprising aspect was property itself has a ton of outdoor activities including biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, two pools one reserved for age 12 and up, and access to incredibly scenic golf courses which are included in the resort fee of $70. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to golf but strolled around the edge around sunset. Service and Room - Excellent - the hotel staff we really friendly - front desk helped us book a time at the sporting grounds close by! - I used a SNA here and the upgrade was amazing! I’d recommend using it here versus a city destination Restaurants - Good - Amore Del Lago - we went to the amore de largo which was good, but recommend you book in advance - we ate by the bar given it was fully booked. The best part was the dessert which the bar tender recommended - apple strudel and replaced the ice cream with vanilla bourbon which was quite unique Tips: - Spa and fitness: with the resort fee, you get access to the sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, and steam room with separate male and female rooms in the building beside the hotel. I had the whole place to myself which was neat - it’s very refreshing - Sporting range was super fun. They have an add-on which you shoot moving targets about 25 min from the property. It was about $100 for the two of us but we had a private instructor for about 30-40 minutes. It’s pretty unique if you’re from the city and haven’t shot a gun before. - Photos: the property is very picturesque. I’d recommend walking past Gabby’s around dusk where can you find a dock to take some photos as well as the side of the golf course

What a complete disaster this Ritz was! When you think of the Ritz, you expect perfection, but this was the opposite. We went there for my birthday for a drink, and it took a ridiculous 45 minutes to get served. Each drink came one at a time, 10 minutes apart, so each person drank alone. My martini was wrong, the other martini came in a regular glass with ice, and we never received the replacement. The place was empty, yet when we asked the bartender to cancel the missing drink, they didn’t even apologize and claimed they would make it, but it never happened. Absolutely unacceptable!

The weekend before memorial day is a great time to go. Not crowded and the weather is warm enough to hang out in the lovely pool. Overall a wonderful experience. Excellent service! Everyone we interacted with was helpful. We ate at three different restaurants and they were all wonderful. They even do the little things well: I mentioned we were going to split an appetizer, so they brought it on two plates. Well done! Loved the exercise facilities and indoor pool. One caution: our room was originally in the wing just past the registration desk (in the 330's) and it was loud. I bring this up as it happened also on a previous visit, so it wasn't a one-off, but perhaps a design issue of the building. They were great about moving us to a room in another wing that was wonderful. Would 100% visit again.
