Baymont by Wyndham Dowagiac

Around mid-night a knock on the door, by the front desk person, stating that there is a complaint of the noise coming from my room. I said the I was asleep !!!! The person called 5 minutes later, stating the same, and once again, stating the he woke me, and there was NO NOISE, coming from my room. The corners of the floor in the bathroom, had not been cleaned in years....and the tub could have been cleaned with a scrubber. Aside from that the room was clean, and comfortable.

Need to spend more time cleaning rooms. Room was filthy. Food on floor and walls. Grease on mini fridge. Bathroom appeard clean though. Staff was helpful, pool and hot tube were nice. Breakfast was good.

It was dirty and unkept. The Saturday front desk person left the breakfast area a mess. The outside was a mess some garbage cans out there might help. The ceiling tiles were falling apart and taped together. The room smelled like smoke and was so damp our linens were damp. There was mouse droppings in the dresser drawers.

Waited In lobby for 45 minutes, employee apparently walked out. That happens, however Manager was very rude when he got there. Outside door locks missing, trash cans overflowing outside. Lobby bathroom was disgusting. Room was nice and comfortable. Pool heater just got fixed but was fine. Kids enjoyed it.

Paid up front through Expedia. When I went to check in the front desk girl argued with me about the room already being paid even after I showed her my confirmation. She insisted on another credit card, since had driven a long way we were tired and just wanted to stop for the night. They then proceeded to bill my card twice on the second card, which is triple billing. I tried to straighten it out with the manager in the morning, and he originally wouldn’t give me a receipt. He gave us credit back for the four additional charges, but it took 5 extra days to get everything cleared for something that should never have happened in the first place.

The Hotel was clean and responsibly priced. We booked 3 rooms for a fishing trip and the staff did a nice job of accommodating our needs.

This is a small hotel. The staff was very nice. I stayed in room 103, it had a jacuzzi. When we drove up you can tell the building is not kept up on the outside as far as painting and the greenery. Once in my hotel room, the carpet was sticky, the room was very musty, wallpaper torn off wall, ceiling in bathroom looks like it is caving. I had to ask for an iron and refrigerator which the staff was very accommodating.

Only positive was it was located in Dowagiac, which was where our party was held. No other hotels in Dowagiac...

Friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms, free breakfast.

The hotel was run-down and the front desk staff was not very helpful or friendly.
