"Average for the price and location"

We stayed one night in a queen, no smoking room (Room 214) with microwave and mini fridge. I loved the mini fridge as it had a small compartment to keep my water bottles frozen (I use them in my cooler instead of ice)...easy cleanup and no melting ice to deal with. It is a small room but satisfied our needs. With taxes, total bill was $62.09. The only issue for someone is there are not any elevators. We were on a 2nd floor but carrying our stuff up stairs was fine. I was concerned walking to our room as I could smell smoke in the hallway but once we entered the room, we did not smell the smoke. One suggestion I have is to replace towels, washcloths, etc when the stains or dirt doesn't come out. I don't doubt they are washed but it is unnerving to see spots/stains/or whatever on towels. The shower head is kind of low for a 6 foot tall person. The breakfast offerings were fine for continental breakfast. No issues with wifi/tv/or a/c unit. As far as any place to eat in walking distance, there aren't any. Very few name brand fast food/restaurants. We ate at Playa Azul, the service was slow, my enchiladas were not the best I have had however my husband ordered the beef fajitas and they were fantastic. On Mondays, they have $1.00, 12 oz. beer.

"WENT ON A VACATION ."

I travel a lot on vacation, and always like to have fun. we were looking for a cheap and safe place an econolodge in beatrice was a perfect place that we were looking for.Its down the hill a very quite and peaceful place, customer service , breakfast all was excellent, i was so relaxed in the morning and u can see the full sunrise in the back of the motel, it was a beautiful. we are going to stay there again when we return back.

"Wonderful Beatrice Nearby"

A clean, well managed and very economical venue. Although adjacent to Highway 77, it is located lower than the highway so your sleep is uninterrupted by traffic noise. The office staff is especially friendly and cooperative.

"Staines and cold breakfast"

I came to Beatrice for family, we had two king rooms and in one all of the towels were stained and just thrown on the shelf the hand towels and washcloths were not hung(probably to hide that they were stained) and the other room the towels were in the same condition and the sheets and pillow cases were very stained. The morning after check in the tvs audio was not working so we called the front desk and they told us housekeeping would be there soon, turns out it was a cord had came loose we could have fixed right away and not had to wait 45 minutes. The same room and water spots and toothpaste splattered on the mirror and Kleenex holder. The breakfast was awful. Biscuits were hard as rocks and cold, the gravy had water in it(I'm guessing so it would go farther) and it was cold. They had no hot water for hot chocolate and only sirofoam cups and plates. And a microwave to heat anything up . Do not recommend

"Dirty dirty and dirty"

Back stairs railing very dirty and the steps were steep. The Shower curtain was dirty and there was hair on shower head The halls smelled of cigarette smoke and the driveway was very steep. The Front door was hard to find

"Very smell and sticky"

I had stayed here before and it was adequate. However this past week it was smelly and the bathroom floor as well as the carpet was sticky. I bought a bottle of odor ban and it did not even help. Yes it is a cheep place to stay but not very clean and also dark at night

"A good experience"

Several years ago, I stayed at this hotel and it was in bad condition. However, this past weekend, I was pleasantly surprised that the managers had done a lot of work during the past couple of years and what we found was a clean room with a good AC, LCD tv, microwave, and refrigerator. The room was quiet with a comfortable bed and the breakfast included hot white gravy and a good waffle maker. For a cheap hotel in Beatrice, it is a good solid choice.

"Nice clean room. Heat, air, TV, clock worked"

The room was clean, all systems worked, all holes were patched and the carpet was clean, however the towels were old, discolored and contained small pieces of grass, straw or wood chips. The "hot breakfast" with bacon and sausage was not up to par. The waffle machine worked but the milk was left on the counter in a pitcher without any ice. The cold, limp, greasy undercooked bacon and sausage was in the same position and in the same containers Sunday morning as presented Saturday morning. A small pool of white gravy appeared to be the same stuff as was presented Saturday. I passed on the offered white bread and biscuts. It there were donut or sweet rolls offered earlier, I guess it missed out. Saw no evidence the second morning so I can guess there were none offered.The juices were in dispensers so I thought that the orange juice would be a good choice. The coffee was not drinkable. Sad about the offered breakfast. The desk clerk, however was friendly and polite. Considering the cost, you get what you pay for.

"Did not have my reservation"

I made my reservation on line for this Econo Lodge. Received a confirmation email and a reminder email detailing out what I had reserved. Very glad I kept the email. Arrived about 8:30 PM with my traveling companion and discovered that there was a room for me, but not what I had reserved - a double bed room. They "only" had a queen size bed or a king size bed which was not what I needed. Needless to say, I was upset to have this happen later in the evening. She offered me two rooms for more than what I was supposed to pay for the room I'd reserved. I said no, give me two rooms for the price I reserved at. So she did do that. It just irritated me that she didn't offer me other accommodation for the same price - very bad customer service. And NO apologies. We got the rooms, on different floors. Rooms adequate - in need of updating. Turned on A/C and it just smelled musty. Bug (alive) under the bar of unopened soap in the bathroom. Just not a great start to the Labor Day weekend trip.

"Staff could learn to be a bit more customer oriented"

Not a bad experience for having all the amenities including a nice hot breakfast. Yet, not an overall good impression for my first, and perhaps, only visit. Asked for a quiet room and the manager assigned me to the handicapped room, which was close to the lobby. Wondered what kept me waking in the night and found it to be the ice machine outside my door. Alarm clock was not readable and broken so it was not a good night's sleep, or appropriately wakeful time since I did not hear the morning call. Since I complained three times to the manager (who took no interest in my concerns), I asked him if he wanted me to call Choice Hotels and he said that would be fine, again showing no proactive concern for my needs. I was not too upset, but felt that I had earned the use of my free night's stay for dedicated use of Choice Hotels; I had earned it and showed I was willing to resolve the issue satisfactorily for me and for the future benefit of this Econo Lodge's customers. Thankfully, Choice Hotels mediated and I was refunded my points after I called and complained, just explaining how their management needs training in customer service. It always pays to listen to concerns and offer resolution to problems, and if you are not heard the first time, to be persistent.
