I recently completed a nearly two-week stay at The Leela Palace Bengaluru, spread across multiple reservations due to changes in my schedule. I was so genuinely impressed that I sent a detailed appreciation email directly to their General Manager, Mr. Nishant Agarwal.
The property itself is unbelievable. It truly feels like a palace, with beautiful gardens and water streams right in the middle of the city. It is hard to believe such a peaceful, grand, and luxurious place exists in the heart of Bengaluru.
I travel extensively across the world, and while luxury hotels are known for beautiful properties and facilities, what truly differentiates a great hotel is its people. During this stay, I felt genuinely welcomed, cared for, and appreciated in a way that is becoming increasingly rare.
I especially requested that each team member receive separate kudos, because each person made a unique contribution to my stay.
At Citrus, Gautam somehow always knew I needed my special coffee even before I asked. It is these thoughtful details that make a guest feel truly remembered. Devika, Vishal, Nikhil, Rohit, Amrutha, Suman, Neha, Sachi, Rishikesh, Priyanshu, and Christina were all warm, attentive, and authentic in every interaction.
The culinary team was equally outstanding. Chef Sahadevan went incredibly far to prepare homely food and ensure I was comfortable. His kindness and personal attention left a lasting impression. Chef Simran, Chef Purushotham, and Chef Giri also deserve my sincere gratitude for the care and quality they brought to the experience.
At the Club Lounge, Nikki should patent the signature drink she custom-made for me. It was outstanding and became one of the highlights of my stay. Tanaya is a great mixologist with immense knowledge of spirits. Snehal was wonderful, and Debjeet was so attentive and made our evening special. The entire Club Lounge team consistently delivered excellent service and memorable experiences.
The Front Desk team was also exceptional. Himanshu, Nipurn, Akshay, Parth, and Ritu were all professional and helpful. A special mention to Akshay and Parth, who patiently worked through a reservation and duplicate billing issue. They handled the situation professionally, calmly, and with genuine concern until everything was resolved.
At Jamavar, Arjit, Sanathoi, Anubhav, and Bunty created memorable dining experiences with warmth and attention to detail.
At The Library, Mohit was always smiling, welcoming, and had a rare ability to make guests feel comfortable and at home. Sainath, Roshni, and Rashma also added to the warm and graceful experience there.
For In-Room Dining, Aiappadas was another absolute gem of a person. He has a natural gift for making guests feel comfortable and cared for.
I also want to appreciate the entire housekeeping team. Their efforts often happen behind the scenes, but they play a significant role in creating the overall guest experience. My room was consistently maintained to the highest standards throughout my stay.
Exceptional hospitality starts with leadership and culture. The consistency of service I experienced across restaurants, lounges, front office, in-room dining, and housekeeping suggests a team that takes great pride in what they do.
Thank you to The Leela Palace Bengaluru for creating an environment where guests are not simply served but genuinely cared for. I left with wonderful memories and look forward to returning again.
