Rodeway Inn & Suites New Orleans Gentilly

DO NOT STAY HERE. MEDICATION WAS STOLEN FROM MY ROOM! WE HAD A DO-NOT-DISTURB SIGN ON THE DOOR, BUT SOMEONE WENT IN AND TOOK MY PILLS THAT WERE NEAR THE SINK. I TRIED TO LET THE MANAGER KNOW AND THEY DID NOT SEEM TO CARE. CREEPY HAVING SOMEONE GO THROUGH YOUR THINGS!!

This hotel room smelled terrible. We felt more or less unsafe on the backside of the building and were really happy that we were only around for one day.

I had an issue with the night staff at this hotel. The day staff was friendly but the night staff was extremely rude. I will leave it at that. The neighborhood is in a bad part outside of New Orleans. The clientele like to smoke illegal substances. I do not recommend this hotel.

Stayed in this hotel going through our southern road trip. Not the place to stay if you are looking for luxury but definitely the place to stay for value.

I used the hotel just to sleep in for 3 nights. I went downtown and the French Quarters most of the day. It was an easy 10 minute drive. The p.m. clerk told me good directions to downtown. GPS helps. Hotel: bed cover had cigarette burn holes. Bed blanket had cigarette burn holes. However, they were clean. Non-smoking room. Quiet. I did not hear anything from the next room. Breakfast: some fresh fruits, juice, cereals, milk, muffins... very basic. TV remote did not work, no batteries... desk clerk replaced the remote. Reasonable, for the price paid.

There were no towels in our room. When I called the desk, at 9:15 am, to ask for towels the staff told me is have to come get them because the housekeeping workers were not in yet. We also tried to get a taxi to come to this location and not a single one would. Will not be back!

Good location. Hotel is an old converted building. Interesting, but a bit weird too. We had a view of a a/c unit in a pit kind of place. In the morning it was VERY noisy with a lot of people walking up and down the hallway with poor sound insulation. Carpet was on the sticky side

We were lucky to find this place as everything in the city was booked or way expensive. The econo lodge was fine. Can't complain, other than the continental breakfast could have used a little protein. Will we stay here again? Maybe. But for the same money we might try to find something w more of a NO ambiance.

Don't go there. Sure its not that far a drive from the city but it appears to be, judging from the security that the check in has and the sound of sirens, not an area that you would want to stay in

We were coming down to Nawlins, to check out the city behind the tourism. We stayed 5 days, to include the weekend. Yes the neighborhood is not the best, But we had no problems, The neighborhood is in recovery after Katrina. The Motel it self is older, and located off a couple major hwys. So it is easy access to everything you might want to do. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom very clean. It has had some updates, and the room was very spacious and included a fridge and microwave. Now staying through the weekend we expected noise, But really the place was very quiet. I have stayed at Sheratons, and Marriotts, and other 4 star hotels, and not had as good a night sleep as I had here. It was inexpensive, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The air conditioner worked. and the housekeeping did a great job. No complaints. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a place. The locals just added color to the area.
