Gullwing by Distinctive Beach Rentals

The apartment was good. Wish the owners had more beach things available like toys and wagons like other beach front properties we’ve stayed at. Also the construction Was a big inconvenience. They said it doesn’t start until 8am but the construction workers got there before and were very loud. Then the smell from the porter potties was terrible.

Room size, 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer

I was told minor construction. There was scaffolding everywhere even over the pool area, larger areas fenced off due to construction, debris on balcony, floor from elevator to room lined with construction barrier, pool filled with debris from construction, jacuzzi was cold, elevator covered in blanket/tarps over walls, dirty. Property manager not responsive to concerns. Did not get keys to the pool until 2nd day, had to call multiple times, incorrect info between guest portal and text messages. A/C issues in guest bedroom rusted out dishwasher that leaked onto the kitchen floor. TVs in the bedrooms did not work.

Every was excellent but we can’t enjoy the pool because they explained us it was missing the motor which we understood

4 hours before check in time received a call. Pool was closed due to storm that happened 2 weeks ago. They offered cancellation with full refund and optionfor a pool 3 miles away on a sister hotel. We ended up going and went to sister hotel once for the pool.

The hotel is great with families great location The only negative is the workers I understand they need to fix the damages from the hurricane but 7am is too early. Also the manager the older gentlemen needs to be more friendly.

Form day one until last day billing was under construction and lots off noise drilling at one point I thought they made a hole through the roof

The rooms were so nice and big. We had a good time loved it.

The hotel was under construction and it was terribly noisy. The workers were outside our window from 8am to late. Otherwise we loved the room accommodations. But the noise was bad.

We stayed in a 3 person bay view apartment. It was perfectly fine, maybe needed some cosmetic updates. Due to Hurricane Ian in 2022 the property is undergoing exterior repairs. Completely understandable, and didn't really affect our stay. The surrounding area is still recovering as well. Fort Myers is beautiful, and Gullwing was great as well. My only issue is that they did not disclose the ongoing construction on the exterior until after we booked. Very nice place, affordable, and we will be back.
