Beautiful on the beach, clean

Did not tell me $250 hold on credit card, 25 percent discount only on food.

This was the third time we stayed at Doubletree. We originally ordered a 1 bedroom suite which the property upgraded to a 2 bedroom. The suite was massive with a huge wrap around terrace. While a bit dated and worn in some places was nevertheless clean and very functional -- having a full kitchen , 2 seating areas and a large living area. Overall this was the biggest room we've ever stayed in. Even without the upgrade , the doubletree suite is huge and provides good value. The pool area is a bit small although was never crowded. Beach access was very easy.

The property looks to be having some staffing shortages. We did arrive a bit early , but our room did not become available until close to 4 PM. The problem was that the front desk couldn't give us a clear ETA for our rooms availability -- which led to us wasting allot of time (like other guests) in the lobby. Being upfront about the rooms availability would of allowed for better planning on our part. Was not a very good start. Another issue throughout was the lack of functional elevators -- as at times only one seemed to be functioning for both guests and staff. Having to squeeze into an elevator with other quests and cleaning staff with their carts and consistently having to wait up to 10 minutes for one to arrive is not good. Recommend that management sorts this out as it really was problematic.

This hotel is quite literally my home away from home. The rooms are spacious & clean & newly renovated. The standout is definitely the amazing staff particularly Maylen. She is not only the sweetest but takes any concerns you may have very seriously & makes sure you are happy & taken care of. I am going back with my husband again in two weeks & look forward to spending New Years Eve there! 10/10
