"Disappointed with Unit"

We had lots of issues with our unit. Tiny bugs (ants?) around sinks in kitchen and bathroom. Water tasted bad and smelled funny. Only luke warm water in sinks and showers. Telephone didn’t work so you couldn’t call front desk. Only 4 TV channels and poor internet service. All of the staff were friendly. If the unit hadn’t had so many issues, we would have had a good stay. The resort had a good location and had lovely grounds and good restaurants. We were supposed to go back to this resort for 4 days at the end of our stay but we cancelled and booked somewhere else.

"Divi Little Bay Winter Break"

We arrived on a Wednesday around 3pm. It only took a few minutes to get checked in and to our room. We were on the second floor of building 12, the building closest to Fort Amsterdam. We had a one bedroom one bathroom suite, with balcony overlooking Great Bay, the views were stunning and we got to see the cruise ships each day. The first morning we went up and walked around the Fort, the ruins are cool to walk around and explanations of each area are posted. The second day we went up there for the sunrise, it was great, but had a little cloud cover! The birds were fun to watch too! The rest of the week we spent between the beach and numerous pools. The ocean water is pristine, the ocean floor is soft and white sand. Most days the waves were small and rolling. One day we had big crashing waves, perfect for body surfing. In all we had an amazing time, it was our third Divi Property, so we came with preconceived expectations that sadly were not met. We are Divi Vacation Club Members, and our home resort is Divi Village and Golf in Aruba, we have stayed at Divi Village and Golf, and Divi Dutch in the past couple years. The service was the biggest disappointment. I realize we’re on vacation and very lucky, but we’re used to and spoiled by the service at Divi Golf. The staff at Divi Little Bay didn’t seem to care much for the guests other than the women at The Amsterdam Cafe. They were amazing and very sweet! We did opted for the Premium All Inclusive and the food did not disappoint. Gizmo greeted us at her restaurant/bar on day one and was a staple throughout the week. The salads were good, as were the burgers, just know, the smash burgers are not actually smashed (more like a big burger), but good nonetheless! The Shack was very good, you can get Tacos, Nachos, Chips and Salsa, and Churros with Ice Cream for dessert! Slice, the pizza shop was also very good. Made to order pizza and calzones. Pure Ocean, the breakfast and dinner buffet were decent, but the Italian Ala Cart menu was pretty good. Mix at Oceans was probably the best food we had, simple menu, but plenty of options for a teenager and picky adults. The drinks are where this place shines. The Italian Margarita was spectacular, I had several! Seabreeze was really good! If you don’t mind cooking your meat on your own lava stone, try the Chruasco (Skirt Steak) was flavorful and perfectly cooked by me! They have a few other items that you cook on the lava stone, and several other dishes that come prepared. The Pool Bar was great too! Getting a good spot with chairs and an umbrella on the beach was very easy without having to get to the beach early. We swam out to the underwater statues to snorkel, easy swim from the Divi Beach, but there were not a ton of fish to see. The next day we went snorkeling from the old boat ramp (up the hill before Fort Amsterdam). There was a gazillion fish, they were amazing and so many varieties! All in all it was a great variation, but we will not hurry back to Divi Little Bay and we’re looking forward to our August trip to Divi Village and Golf!

"Overpriced, Understaffed, Non-existent Leadership"

The cardinal rule of hospitality is to make your guests feel welcomed and safe. The Divi company rejects that. We arrived on a weekend afternoon for a two night stay, enroute to another island for our holidays. There was a large line filled with guests checking in, checking out, and with concerns and issues about their existing rooms. While there were three reception desks, there was literally just one employee tasked to manage all of these guest needs. After an hourlong wait to check in, we were finally shown to our room - it was filthy and had not been cleaned after the previous guest’s departure. Our valet was unable to even reach the front desk employee. We suggested calling a manager. It took Colin, the front desk manager, another 30 minutes to find a room. We had been made aware of numerous room robberies that had taken place this winter. Despite that, we were taken to a first floor room with two sets of sliding doors. One lock was nearly useless, spinning loosely in the bolt. The second lock was completely broken. Rather than repairing/replacing the lock, a flimsy aluminum bar had been installed. We tried calling the front desk - no answer. There was a telephone in the room, but alas - it was a pretend phone. No dial tone. The next day we moved to an $800 per night room - not a typo - that was promoted as newly renovated. It was a simple and comfortable room with a lovely view, but had a broken toilet seat, zero space for any of our toiletries, and a non functioning deadbolt on the door! I don’t blame the line staff - they’re working with what they have and with an appalling lack of on-site leadership and corporate service focus. We will never return.

"No A/C No Help"

The room A/C was broken for two nights I spoke to front desk and the manager with no luck.My room was $725 a night I expected some type of refund but nope all you get is a run around .Also several guest complained about the water smell in the room .Don’t waste your money the staff is lazy .

"Amazing week in paradise with Divi resort"

We loved our experience at Divi resort. A beautiful beach, great pools, and good food. The staff is what makes the experience exceptional. Felix and Edrick take you around the resort in the golf carts. They are both amazing, friendly, and helpful! Shana, Andrew, and Amanda at Pure Oceans are the best. Shana and Amanda always go above and beyond to make your dining experience the best. Shana and Andrew really get to know you and your family. Always greeting you by name as well as making our 4 year old feel like an honored guest! Stephen at Sea Breeze is the best bartender on site. Do not miss having drinks with him! Wendy at the poolside bar is great too. I can’t say enough about all the staff.

"It was ok the beach made it worth it"

The beach the woman in the cafe and all the guys who drove the golf carts they were so incredibly friendly

Shower flooded they gave us a wrong room had to switch after check in so that was a bit of a pain and had to basically beg for service in our room even after paying the woman a tip to clean she never showed up. Had to ask 4x

"Helpfull people at Divi little bay beach resort"

Wish to highlight the special work of three people with had to deal with. Thank you to the GM Anne-Marie Brooks and Colin King. There was a problem with our reservation upon arrival but they quickly fixed it to our full satisfaction. Thank you as well to Sherdawn, the lady who looked after our room and did all she could to fulfil our housekeeping needs. There were also other people who went out of their way to help and serve throughout our stay. Thank you all

"TERRIBLE service!"

TERRIBLE service! Confirmed our reservation on May 11, 2025 for Feb. 14-21, 2026. Got up at 4 am to catch plane to St. Maarten. Tried to check in at 5 pm (after waiting in line for 1/2 hr), but they could not find my reservation, even though I presented them with a printed confirmation. The desk took my printed confirmation back to the "manager" to see if they could help. After 1/2 hr., we were told to go get something to eat, and, when we got back, our room would be ready. After waiting for 1-1/2 hr. for a pizza on site, we went back to the reservation desk. We saw the timeshare owner's name on the VIP check-in board, so thought we would surely get checked in finally! No such luck! After several people trying to find our reservation, and them making several trips back to the "manager", they finally were told to "just find them a room"! This is 3 hrs. after our initial attempt to check in. When we got to our room, the bellhop put our bags in the bedroom, and noticed the bed had been slept in and used towels in the bathroom. He called room service at 8:45 pm, and said they would be to our room shortly to fix everything. After 20 minutes, we heard someone at the front door, so we went to answer it. There was someone at the front door trying to get in, as the front desk had just assigned our room to him! We explained what happened, and he went back to the check in desk. While we were waiting for room service, we tried to turn the tv's on to see if we could watch the Olympics. The main tv was fuzzy at best, and only had 8 stations (BBC, Theater, Bloomberg, WB,CNN, TNT, and Teva), even though their QR code said they had 20 stations (including ESPN). The tv in the bedroom didn't work at all (GE remote with LGTV). At 9:15 pm, I called the front desk to see when housekeeping would be to my room (having been up 17 hours already). The front desk said they would check and call me back. They did not call me back! At 9:50 pm, housekeeping showed up, and started cleaning the bathroom and making the bed with fresh sheets. At 9:55 pm, the front desk called and offered me another room, as they didn't know when housekeeping would show up! The next day, I called the front desk at 2 pm to have maintenance check the safe (wasn't working) and the tv's. At 4:45 pm, after no response, I called the front desk again. It rang 26 times with no answer. At 5 pm, maintenance showed up, reset the safe and reprogrammed the tv's. When I asked about getting the 20 channels, he said they were looking into a different tv service, but all they had currently was 8 stations, and they were fuzzy at best! The next day at 7 pm, we called the front desk for maintenance again, as the stovetop and the oven were not working, and the safe was not locking again. Maintenance showed up 2 hours later. He got the stove top to work, but said he couldn't get the oven to work, and reprogrammed the safe. We never did use the safe, as it continued to lock and unlock sporadically. Service was SUPER SLOW at all the restaurants on site! Although a lovely beach, we will NOT be going back to St. Maarten or using any Divi resort!
