La Jolla Cove Suites

The location was the only positive.

Our bathroom smelled like sewage, there was construction debris falling from the ceiling, the room was tiny and lacked amenities.

Our accessible room was on the first level with a balcony facing the ocean front. Despite the busy street, it was nice to feel an ocean breeze from the early morning to sunset or anytime we wanted. The construction noise didn't really bother us. In terms of the cafe on site, we wish they would have some hot sandwiches or quiche breakfast items. The stay was pricey, but we did enjoy it. Stayed for three nights with a little discount they provided for a longer stay. All employees were super nice, friendly, and accommodating.

Upgrade fee paid twice but still had issues with the room. Smoking next to us which meant we couldn’t sit on balcony. Construction which we were not told about. Loud. Messy. Then the towels under the sink were all wet for some reason

Like all places in La Jolla it is expensive.

This hotel has rooftop weddings which means you can hear the DJ who was loud. So loud we couldnt sit on balcony to enjoy the sound of the waves. Room was not in working order. Barnyard style door for restroom was broken. Faucet was not secured to wall. Curtain was stained and torn. Staff (Sergio) and valet team (gentleman with beanie) were very pleasant and kind.

The room and view were amazing. The only downfall was that we weren’t informed of the renovation noise that we would endure each morning. Even worst, we heard tables or chairs dragged each night from wedding breakdowns nightly. Again, great location, poor communication concerning controllable noise expectations. We were here for our honeymoon and would have liked to sleep in a couple of mornings.

Location is great and rooms are pretty nice. There was construction when we visited and we didn’t know that upon booking. The construction was on the other side of the wall to our hotel room. It was extremely loud and not something you want to wake up to at 7am.. I don’t think anyone should be put in that room. We paid too much money to be awaken to banging at 7am. That was the only bad part. The valet parking is a nice because parking is limited around. You can walk to a lot of things around so we loved the location. There is a coffee shop under the hotel that is nice. The pool isn’t anything special but nice to swim in if you need something to do.

Location, cleanliness, staff informed us of construction and weddings happening during our stay. We appreciate the clear communication.
