Island Grand at TradeWinds

I went to Saltys and Sam B waited on us. She was amazing!!! Great service. Great attitude. Will come back just to see her.

Trent at La Playa was awesome and helpful!

Trent was courteous and helpful with our lunch meal.

Naz was great!! Made the experience fun, great service and views of the beach!

Trent was an amazing waiter, he was very attentive without being obtrusive!

Best beach hotel for kids, perfect beach set up. Kase made it so easy to get set up on the beach- thank you Kase!

The location right in the beach was perfect! The staff were friendly and very accommodating ! The mattress was extremely comfortable . We enjoyed the shower and bathroom very much! Our room on the top floor W/balcony was exactly what we hoped and expected ! Although we only stayed for none night, we fully intend to return in the not too distant future for a longer stay !

We found that the lighting at night around the pool are and jacuzzis could have been better. One of the 2 jacuzzis was not lit . One the day we checked out we had reservations w/ The Dolphin Racer. We needed to to be present 30 minutes prior to the departure from the Pasadena Ave. location. I went to use the elevators and neither elavator was working . I had to use the stairs from the 7th floor down to the first floor, where I immediately went straight to the bell staff to report that the elevators were not operating properly and we needed to be at the departure point by 10:30. The bell staff did ultimately make it up to our room by elevator but by then the time was 10:45. The bell staff loaded our luggage and we immediately left for The Dolphin Racer departure port . Jenny From The Dolphin Racer , whom we made our reservation, called to asked where we were , as it was now 5 minutes left to departure . I informed her the issue with the elevators caused our delay and pleaded with her not to leave as we would be arriving by 10:55. She assured us the boat would wait . As a result , I feel we are deserving of some kind of partial reimbursement . I felt there was not an urgency given to address the elevator issue which added a great deal of stress to us .

The check in

First time dining at the Tradewinds resort and it was a 15/10 with Sonia fitting in with our family and friends dinner. Food was great from the start with fresh chips and salsa and we were able to put food in right away because we were so hungry. What escalated this from a great family dinner to an amazing dining experience was hands down Sonia's attentiveness and overall charisma while taking care of us from start to finish. Definitely highly recommend especially if you are able to request Sonia. (I would assume she may be the busiest waitress in the restaurant from referrals)
