Petra Marriott Hotel

Our stay at the Marriott Petra was truly memorable. The level of hospitality was unreal — it didn’t feel like standard hotel service, but more like being welcomed into someone’s own home and city. Every interaction felt warm, genuine, and thoughtful. The hotel itself is beautiful, perfectly positioned on a mountaintop with breathtaking views. It has a very cozy, peaceful vibe that makes you instantly relax and enjoy the surroundings. A special thank you to Mr. Ahmed at the reception, who was exceptional. He was incredibly helpful, understanding, and attentive to all our requests, and supported us throughout our stay with great care and professionalism. His attitude truly elevated the entire experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Petra.

The hotel was worthy of the Marriot brand, but since there is construction underway, some facilities were off limits. Some staff members were very curt but some went out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Not in walking distance of the park. Limited shuttle services so you had to work around their times. There are quite alot of hotels right outside the park. Also construction underway at hotel so some facilities were off limits.

What a wonderful experience. Mr. Farajat and his team, especially and foremost Mr. Musa do a wonderful job to make their guests feel at home or even better, don't want to leave to go home ! The hotel is a bit outside of Wadi Musa but has a frequent shuttle to Petra. The big upside of this situation is that is wonderful quiet. The rooms were spacious and clean, maybe a bit dated (eg no USB outlets) but in great shape. The mountain view towards Petra was amazing, especially in the evening as the sun went down. Breakfast consists of western and local cuisine, I liked the fact that many dishes had a little explanation. Everything I tasted was very good. Overall, I would come back any time, especially as I have never felt so welcome and been treated warm-hearted as here. At the moment the pool is closed (no problem, it's too cold anyways) and the hotel is being extended. From the pictures shown - I am very sure it will be even nicer.

We had an amazing stay at the Marriott Petra, and it truly elevated our visit to one of the world’s most iconic sites. The hotel is conveniently located about 15 minutes from the Petra Visitor Center, making it a perfect base for exploring the ancient city without being in the middle of the crowds. If possible, definitely book a room with a view of the valley—the scenery is absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options, and the dinner buffet was also very good with plenty of choices. The hotel’s location is peaceful and scenic, but it’s worth noting that there aren’t many restaurants or shops nearby. However, the hotel offers a shuttle to the Petra area, where you’ll find plenty of dining options and small stores. Since there are no grocery shops or liquor stores close to the hotel, it’s a good idea to bring along snacks or your own beverages if you prefer. While the stay was wonderful, one thing we missed was a gym, which would’ve been a valuable addition, especially after long days of hiking through Petra. Overall, Marriott Petra delivers comfort, great service, and beautiful views—highly recommended for anyone visiting Petra, whether for adventure, relaxation, or family travel.
