Petra Marriott Hotel

Very friendly staff..shout out to Mousa in his traditional Jordanian attire greeting us upon arrival with traditional Arabian coffee.

The service is really great, staff super friendly

I found the hotel too expensive for what it offers: a tiny pool and no gym.

Marriott Petra ✅ staff & check-in was friendly & efficient ✅ Pool area was very clean and the towels were really nice quality -it wasn’t busy when we visited so the pool was quiet .. it’s small but functional after a day out ✅ Food was authentic and good quality - local music was a really nice addition - reasonably priced ✅ View from the reception floor was breathtaking ✅ Room were comfortable .. request a high room if you can- gives a much view of the mountains The hotel doesn’t have any rooms with balcony’s ✅Location -about 10min drive to the entrance of Petra & about £15 return Hints & tips 👍🏻 request a high room 👍🏻Petra & the surrounding area are mostly alcohol free- so if you like a drink with dinner eat in the hotels 👍🏻 Go early to Petra & use an English speaking guide with excellent Knowlegde 👍🏻 Make the trip up to the Mobestry .. it’s well worth the climb 👍🏻Take small notes to help support the local people - there are a lot of ladies selling things and it’s nice to buy from them- sweet tea/ small gifts / jewellery etc 👎🏻Avoid the donkeys !!

The only very slight negative was there is construction next door, no noise but there is a large screen up which restricts the view from the pool area The view from the next floor up is stunning & the sunset was amazing

The room was clean, comfortable, and affordable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

The location w a little further from Petra than I was expecting.

Marriott Petra is located high up from the Petra valley, providing an amazing view. We booked 2 nights as we spent 2 days in Petra. We were met with excellent and helpful staff at the entrance and all the way through dropping the luggage off at our room. They spoke very well English, smiling and providing great service we felt really welcomed. Room was clean and in good condition. Thus hotel being a few years old it was well maintained and upgrades are being done. We had breakfast and dinner included in our price. Breakfast was good and had a good selection of local and western cuisine. Staff here were also nice. Dinner was served in the Bedouin tent at the poolside with an amazing view and sunset. We had traditional Jordanian food and wine. We were also entertained by local musicians. A great experience. Lunch from the menu was also good. Try the chicken wrap!! The reception was very helpful with putting us in contact with Mr. Falah I Fodul. He has a brand new taxi and we used him as our driver during our stay. He is a local gentleman with many contacts and knowledge and speaks English very well. He arranged for a guided tour for us in Petra. Absolutely amazing. All in all… we had an amazing weekend and really want to come back.

Cosy (for this huge international chain), well maintained property (for its age) in a good location. Magnificent views. Very attentive and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

The restaurant menu could offer a wider selection of local cuisine. Bathroom was a bit worn out, but still clean.
