"Comfortable but largely self-serve."

Stayed at the Grand Hotel for a week in March 2026. The hotel is not what I'd call luxury, but it is clean comfortable, and as well maintained as one could expect of a mountain hotel catering to sports activities. The location is ideal for ski in/out, access to amenities, and the ski valet in the hotel makes equipment access super easy and convenient. A couple things to watch out for: 1. The rooms facing the mountain get the groomer wake up at 6:30am. The big grooming cats roll by and the noise is very loud. You will not be sleeping in. Maybe that's okay? 2. The windows in the hotel are budget glazing. This is the biggest flaw of the hotel. The noise from outside is loud and disturbing. Yell and screaming on weekend nights. Noise from the pool. Groomers. Snowmobiles. If they'd put in proper hotel grade noise reduction glass the guest experience would be 100% better. 3. The hotel is minimally staffed with seasonal workers. They are all super nice but there is too few of them and none are really empowered to do anything or make any decisions in favour of the guest. They have a script that involves a narrow set of transactions they have to stick to. Take your order, take your money, clean your room, draw you a map to the restaurant you want to go to. That's about it. I never did see anyone that looked like a manager or someone in authority - and it was spring break. Probably one of the busier times of the winter. I would recommend this hotel. Just keep your expectations for service low and bring ear plugs or ask for a room way off in a corner The skiing is amazing. Have fun!

The rooms were a bit warm during the night, the AC didnt seem to cool the room to the desired temperature.
