Westford Regency Inn & Conference Center

We stayed at this hotel last year and were very pleased. Based on that stay we booked for the July 4th weekend. The young woman at the desk for check-in was upbeat & pleasant. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable. We had a very busy Friday and got in late after fireworks & entertainment. Saturday morning we were awakened by a very loud waste water pumper @7am! We were placed in a room at the very end of the hallway and this truck was literally directly outside our room. We let it go and continued about our very busy day. We were out from the morning until very late after a ballgame at Fenway & late dinner afterwards. Once again we were awakened on Sunday morning @7am by the SAME SEPTIC/WASTEWATER TRUCK! When my husband addressed it with the gentleman at the front desk he shrugged it off and was very dismissive. The hotel had very low bookings and there were MANY empty rooms far from the noise of this truck. Capacity was so low that the hotel did not provide a buffet breakfast on Saturday but instead provided a carb heavy grab and go breakfast that was reminiscent of traveling during COVID-19. Sunday morning a buffet breakfast was provided but there was no milk, other than chocolate milk which is not what my husband prefers in his coffee nor what my daughter uses on her cereal. There were several stores very close by where someone could have purchased a couple of gallons of milk for breakfast. My experiences in 2024 and 2025 were like night & day. Disappointed.

Needs some refurbishment but otherwise nice.

Great breakfast buffet, but just about everything else was disappointing. I’d had good experiences here about 20 years ago but I don’t think the hotel had been updated since then and it’s poorly maintained. We had a room for four with a sleeper sofa for our kids, and the mattress was terrible (even for a sleeper sofa). We asked for another room but they said the hotel was full, even though the parking lot was empty and we barely saw anyone else during our stay. There were no privacy curtains on the windows, so we had to keep the room-darkening curtains closed all the time. The phone didn’t work and one of the outlets didn’t work consistently either. There was only one USB charging port in the room. The room also had physical keys (instead of key cards) and one of the two we were given didn’t open the door. Sad to see the Regency has deteriorated so much over the years. Would not recommend staying here.

The room was acceptably clean. The free breakfast voucher was as expected, normal array of hot food with cereal and fruit. I know Westford very well. When the regency opened (30 years ago?) it was one of the best hotel in the greater Lowell area. Due to the grounds not being well maintained, I gave an average rating.

Check in and location were convenient and easy.

I didn't like that when we pulled up there were people sitting on the ground out front smoking and gathering and appearing to be very intoxicated. There were many shelter residents there and the Hotel showed the affects of that. It was dated and many areas showed wear and tear. There was loud commotion from several rooms on our floor. The Hotel wasn't overly expensive but for the price, we didn't feel comfortable.

Breakfast, location, room size, health center with sauna.

Room was freezing cold the whole stay. I think the thermostat was malfunctioning. Pool was closed, and apparently has been for a long time.

It was ok.

The beds were very old not comfortable. The breakfast was $17 per day per person. The coffee was not complimentary and the one in room did not work.
